brining question for mapleme, or anyone that does a turkey

Hi maple, you probably don't remember me by my bump name but I was in the may fb group but got kicked out around July. Somewhere you posted about brining a turkey for thanksgiving. Can you give me details on this & how you cook it after the brine? Thanks!

Re: brining question for mapleme, or anyone that does a turkey

  • Thanks! How long do you leave it in the brine?
  • Mmm brined turkey. So much more goes into mine though-sugar, oranges, rosemary and thyme. And I've not tried the beer thing and probably won't because you can only buy it in cases here and this is a teetotaler home. Lol

It actually doesn't have to be beer. I never used to drink beer out of cans (before good beer started coming in cans), but I regularly had Knudsen Spritzers and used those. You could even rinse out a soda can and add water.
    Hmmm interesting.
