Has anyone else felt this?

Yesterday, I ended up calling my doctor who told me I needed to go to the ER right away. I was having chest pain right under and in the middle of my breast bone. I am 38 weeks and have never had this issue. Long story short, we get to the ER and they make sure the baby is okay and then check me, and cannot find what is causing the pain. After about 5 hours of on and off again pain, it just goes away. My dh takes me home and about 2 hours later it came back. Has anyone felt a short pain in the middle of your chest before? I tried taking Tylenol and that seems to be the only thing that somewhat helps, but once it wears off it comes right back.

so sorry you're having this issue.  Can you describe the pain??  Is it a sharp shooting pain? An ache? Do you feel the baby moving around the times it comes??  I ask bc I've had chest pains near my rib cage that we attribute to my LO kicking me & compressing my lungs a bit... maybe that has some part??  Hope you're feeling better!!

Starting at about 28 weeks, I have had pain around my chest / bra-line. I'm 36 weeks now and it still hasn't gone away. My doctor told me it was the muscles stretching but it is pretty painful. Sometimes it feels like the skin is numb but simultaneously burning, and other times, the muscle just twitches nonstop. Maybe it's your diaphragm being squished by the baby? Is it worse when you breathe deeply? I hope its nothing serious!

I've been having this exact pain for the past few weeks. It seems to be getting worse day after day. My MW also told me it's the nerves separating, hurts like crazy, but there is nothing they can do about it
