Indication of a problem?

DD will be 6 in less than two weeks.   After her bath she did a lot of running around and playing and was sweating a lot.  When I was tucking her in I smelled a horrible BO smell and discovered it was her underarms.  Isn't she way too young to need deoderant?  Should I be worried about a health issue or anything?  I know this is kind of an odd question but I was taken back by the BO it was that awful.

  • DD ha BO under her arms at 7.5 yo. I did take her to dr and she was not developing breast buds or anything else. At her 8 yr appt, she'd developed some underarm hair. Dr said to keep watching. A few months later, some pubic hair came in. We went to see a pedi endocrinologist. DD had a bunch of blood tests done and all were normal. She's a typical developing 8.5 yo. I would be concerned with BO at her age. She should see the dr.

  • My niece and nephew had stinky pits at like 3-4 and my sister used deodorant on them at times. They didn't have anything wrong, but they were stocky, thick kids and sweat a bit under their arms.
