do diapers get old?

So this is probably a weird question to ask but my dad bought me a pack of NB diapers for my birthday for my son who is going to be born in December (he wanted to be the first to buy diapers lol) and I opened them to see how small they were. Will they still be useable by then?

As long as they are in a cool, dry place then they will be good. I have some boxes I bought a year ago that I am using. I had some open bags in my basement though and they got all crunchy.
