My girlfriend is hosting a duTerra essential oils workshop at her house this weekend. I can't decide if I want to go. I've heard good things, but can't decide if I think it's a placebo/hocus pocus.
If you're familiar - do you use them? Which do you like? Is it worth going?
I was sooooo skeptical of it. My mom swore by them as did several of my mom friends, but I figured it was placebo thing. Then last year we got super desperate for something to help with dh and ds1's allergies. So I finally caved and got some from a friend.
Now I'm hooked! They are amazing! I use them for everything. I'm definitely a believer now.
Essential oils can be really useful for a lot of things. I think I'd enjoy relaxing at the workshop. Be careful about which oils you are using directly on your skin, some of them can be not so great for baby.

Good point - I just googled and the list of ones to avoid is actually quite lengthy. Maybe I'll just wait 'till next time
I sell DoTERRA as well and I love my oils. I am taking the Life Long Vitality - full dose and Terrazyme as my prental. I truly believe this is why I am not 100% exhausted and am having ZERO constipation so far (7w1d) nausea has kicked in but is manageable. The wellness advocate should have a take home phamplet for you or possibly even a tearsheets which shows safe oils for pregnancy labor delivery and nursing. If she doesnt, feel free to let me know and I can email you a copy. I hope you go and enjoy yourself!
I love essential oils and am sad about not being able to use some of my favorites now. Do your research, I went to one DoTERRA event & the person hosting was new and gave bad info. I recommend ordering from Mountain Rose Herbs. There are some great books on Amazon too
EOs are great and you should have no worries about burning them while pregnant. I agree with the others though that some are not safe to apply topically while pregnant.
