For those of you that have had an ultrasound I have a ?

What number appoinment was it when you got an ultrasound? I believe it might be my second appointment but I can't remember. With previous losses I really can't let myself be excited or happy yet until I see the baby and it's heartbeat.... Just want to know when I can't relax a little.

Mine was my first appointment at 7 weeks.

It's always my second. They don't have an u/s at the office closest to me, so I have my first appt and then schedule my u/s for a different office.

My office does it at the first appointment. I meet with the Dr. then go to the ultrasound room. The first appointment is around 8 weeks.

We did fertility treatments so our first appt with be our ultrasound at 6w2d pregnant. We wont be released to the OB til after the 7w ultrasound though..

I got my requisition for my u/s at my first appointment (7 weeks) but they told me not to go until 11 weeks. Then I called them because I also want IPS and they want dating, so they told me to go asap so I am going next Wednesday (9 weeks)

My first pregnancy I had an u/s at 8 weeks and then first appt at 10. This I get an u/s and appt at 8 weeks. With previous losses, I would think you would qualify for an early u/s.

I hope so but I don't think that will be the case. I had a loss just before this pregnancy so I'm a little nervous. I called their office and the girl told me if I didn't get one I can voice my opinion and concerns.

My first ultrasound will be at my NT test at approximately 12 weeks.

We had our first yesterday at 7w. I was told 10 at first, but I refused to wait that long. At 7w you will have a better chance of a heartbeat. I would say do it when you feel comfortable. I just neede some piece of mind. I feel so much better after hearing the heart beat!! Best wishes!!

Can I request that they do it sooner or is it what they say goes, kind of thing?

2 previous losses so mine will be at 6w6d... on Wednesday can't wait!

Because of previous losses they had me come in for a 6 week ultrasound. We had it yesterday at 6 weeks 5 days. We will have another at 8 weeks and that will be when we will have our "official" visit with my OB.

They told me 10w. I asked for it sooner. They refered me to the other obgyn in the hospital to do te 7w scan. And then back to them at 10w. I personally think it's your body, go do what is comfortable to you. I can't imagine them telling you no.

I've always gotten a US at my first appt (this is my 3rd baby), which is between 8 and 10 weeks. We are able to hear the heartbeat and see baby then.

Or first u/s was at our first appt at 5w5d. We didn't really see anything other than the sack. We will have another in 4 weeks'

first appt 5w6d saw the sac and the heartbeat. fx its a sticky bean and its still okay next tuesday at my next ultrasound 8w5d

Mine first was this week I'm 7 weeks but I was having a lot of pain so doctor wanted to make sure everything is okay. Heard the heartbeat so amazing :x

I have my first on Tuesday. Will be 5 weeks 1 day. Doctors office said they use it as dating ultrasound and to confirm the pregnancy. Will find out Tuesday when I have anothe.

Same we only have a scan at 12-14 weeks then at 20 weeks unless anything is wrong!! Horrible that you don't get reassurance until then! Always got a pregnancy test on me lol

I had mine at my first appointment at 6 weeks and 3 days (: baby had a heartbeat and everything looked great.

He gave me a vaginal sonogram my first appointment because my periods were so irregular it was hard to calculate how far along I really was. According to my LMP I would of been 7 wks and a day. But the sono was still in the yolk sac stage. So found out I'm only 5 wks pregnant. He when I go back in 3 wks I'll see a heartbeat

I had my 1 st u/s appointment at 7 weeks 5 days this past Tuesday only because I was spotting and having cramps. All turned out great since we saw the heartbeat and my due date calculation is off by 2 days. I thought my due date was June 4 but the u/s said June 2. I dont see my doctor until I am 10 weeks on Nov 6. I would have still been waiting on knowing if things was okay had I not had spotting for a few weeks and then cramps and gotten the early u/s because of that.

I was 6 weeks bleeding and cramping and hospital couldn't find out why, even with an ultrasound they gave me.
After I saw my doctor he sent me again for ultrasound and found out I'm having twins!

Thanks for clearing the name of that exam (vaginal sonogram) for me. In Spanish is called an Eco. I also had it last Wednesday (I was experiencing a lot of cramping like pain) and found out I am 5 weeks. Could only see the sack. No heart beat yet. Doctor told me is to early to see the embryo.

@meclovin‌ So only with the second ultrasound where they able to see you are carrying twins? How far along where you by then? I'm just wondering because I am only 5 weeks and haven't had an US and there are twin genes running in my family as wells as my husbands. So there is a possibility and I want to know when would I be able to find out If I am carrying one or maybe twins.

I am getting my first us on Wednesday (I'll be 8w 3d) and then one at 20w and that's it for the whole pregnancy! Barring any problems! *knock on wood

My first will be on Thursday (8w1d) which is surprising because last time around I had them at 5w, 6w and 7w too. I guess it's because last time was IVF and this time was IUI, but I've had multiple losses as well. Who knows. I just can't wait until Thursday!!

My first one will be my 3rd visit to the drs. My OB likes to bring you in twice to check your betas if you find out your pregnant early then the U/S will be when I'm 7weeks 5days! I would request one early and see what they say? I asked to have mine a week earlier than originally planned and he didn't have a problem with it!

I'm pretty sure the dad's history of twins has nothing to do with your pregnancy. Only your genes.

In Portland with my first two I had ultrasounds at 7 weeks. Now with my third in montana they're making me wait until 8 weeks. The extra week of waiting can be agony!
