Follistim at Room Temp?

You have to keep Follistim in the fridge but I just noticed on my box that is says to bring to room temp before injection. Does anyone know if that is necessary for the medicine to work or is it just for the discomfort factor? B/c I inject cold Victoza every day and it's no big deal.

The website says "injecting cold drug is likely to cause discomfort, therefore it is reccomended that you bring it to room temp"   I'm assuming it's just for comfort but I wanted to see if anyone knew for sure.

Interesting. I never read the insert! I have been injecting it cold. It stings a little bit but seems to have worked fine for me. The office never told me I had to let it warm up they just said keep it refrigerated.

I also injected cold as well.  I admit I didn't read the paperwork that carefully either.

No don't bring it to room temp.. I don't even know why it says that? Well aren't you using the multi use pen? Or do you have single dose vile? I mean I guess you can if it's single doses BUT it won't make any difference, I promise you wont feel that shit whether it's cold or warm. The needle is so teeny, and it's not a med that causes any burning (like it's whore cousin Menopur) just keep it in the fridge

Thanks everyone. That's kind of what I thought :)@potatocastillo it's the multi use pen. I thought that was weird since it says to keep it cold. Whatever it's going in cold. I ain't scared

It's for comfort.  I was instructed by the pharmacist to take the meds out about 30 minutes before injecting.  It's safe to let the med get to room temp, its just that it should be stored in the fridge.
