Flu shot?

Sorry if this has already been discussed, I only log on a few times a week, so I miss some things. What is your opinion or what has your doctor said regarding flu shots in the first trimester? I had it when I was about 33 weeks pregnant with our daughter and it was fine. My first appointment is 11-19 and I want to be prepared to discuss it.
