Mucus plug..

I'm 36 weeks & 5 days, & I lost my mucus plug this afternoon. I never did see it when I lost it with my first, so it was a surprise to me. But I'm wondering how long it took for other ladies to go into labor after losing there's. I know it could be weeks, I'm just curious.

Losing your mucus plug doesn't mean anything. It can come out and then regenerate many times during any given pregnancy.

I'm 35w 5d and I lost mine 2 weeks ago and have had no progress since, I've also been dilated 3 cm for the past 2 weeks. Like PP said, even if you lose your plug it can grow back so it doesn't mean much.

Well it obviously meant something bc I went into labor 3 hours later & had my beautiful baby boy yesterday morning. Didn't have any kind of symptoms or contractions until after I lost it.

I lost mine and didn't go into labor for almost three weeks after.  In fact I lost mine several times because it kept regenerating.  I didn't have any contractions until after my water broke.  Most times it doesn't mean anything.  Congrats on your boy.
