No big plans this weekend, small get together with friends tomorrow night. After 3 days of stims my donor is showing 20 follicles, our next update will be Monday. I'm honestly trying not to think about it too much since there isn't anything I can do but wait, but I'm praying those 20 follicles do their job!! That would give us 6 eggs and keep us in the game.

I'm just trying to get through this cycle one step at a time. I got a call from the rheumatologist yesterday with a new diagnosis: Sjögren's syndrome. And just found out that our predetermination for IVIg was denied. Sigh. Appeal has been filed, but I don't think it'll come through in time for our first treatment.

I'm looking forward to a quiet, restorative weekend.

@sorrelam, 20 eggs sounds great! How exciting! I'll keep the positive thoughts coming your way! @run, sorry to hear about the new dx. I see a lot of people with sjogrens (I'm an eye dr) and the symptoms do vary widely, but for the most part, are easily treated. Do they feel they need to treat it in order to increase your chances? AFM, no big plans. Going out with friends tomorrow. Have a RE consult appt Monday. Looking forward to both!

@RunCC37 I hope you have a peaceful calm weekend after this tough week.

AFM My baseline went well yesterday and I start estrogen priming tonight and will probably work at least 1 day this weekend.  I'm hoping to get some rest too since I've been battling stomach issues.  I'm not sure if it is one of my many supplements, the lupron/ganirelix, prednisone, or just period symptoms, but my stomach has been angry the last few days.

@Sorrellam30, sounds like you egg donor is off to a great start!  I hope those follies produce a lot of great eggs for you!

@RunCC37, I'm sorry about the new Dx.  But, hopefully this diagnosis is providing answers that will help you. T&Ps that your appeal goes through for IVIG coverage.

Well... Nothing new in IF hell. I just faxed my paperwork to Dr KK's office; Honestly, I'm in no rush to get started again, so whatever.

I had a very last minute interview for a really good job opportunity this week and have a 2nd interview Monday am. I really want this job. It's a really, really nice job and it has a normal schedule. I've been doing 50/50 day/night rotation and every other holiday and weekend for over 9 years. I'm over it.

I know this is what I signed up for when I went into nursing, but I also thought we would have a family.

I'm done living my life around IF treatments. I have absolutely no idea when or how we will ever persue IF treatment and I really don't care.

I'm working the overnight shift (shocker), then to a pumpkin carving party Saturday night at a friends... Which will include lots of pumpkin beer. Sunday will be home with hubby.

@km672 I hope you get that job! You deserve some positive changes right now. I hate the feeling of just not knowing what's next, although I've always had somewhat of an idea of what we've wanted to try next I've def had periods of time I just had no idea how we could keep affording it, I still do honestly and it sucks. @Twinkie0612‌ I hope you feel better. I'm glad your baseline went well! J&D2007. Good luck with your consult! @RunCC37‌ I'm so sorry for new diagnosis, hopefully it's something can be dealt with and a step closer to success

@J&D2007 - according to Dr. KK, yes, the Sjogren's could affect pregnancy. From what she told me at my follow-up, autoimmune diseases can penetrate the placenta and cause an irregular fetal heartbeat. This would increase the chances of miscarriage especially in the first trimester because the irregular heartbeat could restrict fetal growth. Dr. KK prescribes prednisone & IVIg prior to conception & throughout the pregnancy.
