Horrible Feeling of Empty Stomach Constantly and Nausea

I am close to 9 weeks pregnant and I have this horrible feeling of an empty stomach constantly w/ nausea. It's horrible. I don't know what to do but eat or drink water. Any recommendations???

  • I have the same, I've just been eating constantly. I find ginger ale and arrowroot cookies help; I'm also on 4 Diclectin a day.

  • I have been feeling the same way. I eat but sometimes it gets worse. So I've cut back to having an apple or drinking lots of water or ginger ale. It feels like it will never go away
  • Eating constantly here too but feels horrible. Driving me crazy. Hope it goes away soon.
  • Same here. It's none stop. This is my 3rd pregnancy but I have never experienced anything close to this in my 2 previous pregnancies. Plus I'm so tired. It's killing me. I work full time and all I want to do us rest.
  • I feel the same! I feel nauseous so I eat to help but then can only eat a few bites before I'm FULL!?!? Its so weird! I have been trying to eat mini meals/ snacks whenever I feel that way and it seems to help. ( fruit, yogurt, granola bar, cheese,) Good luck! This is definitely not the fun part of being pregnant!
  • I feel the same way all the time- I constantly have that empty stomach nausea feeling so I'm always looking for something to eat but after I eat that makes me nauseated. I'm so miserable! I take zofran but it's not helping.

    This. Exactly this. Beyond frustrating.

  • Salty crunchy snacks seem to help, like nuts....high calorie intake though, so I try not to over do it. It will get better! I think I read during my first pregnancy that morning sickness typically peaks around 9 weeks and then starts to get better.

  • I am at my wits end with it! I feel so sick but as soon as eat, I feel better. But 20 minutes later I feel STARVING! My body literally wants me to be eating 20 times a day! I really cannot take it anymore.
  • @willik0301‌ DITTO! I feel your pain!!!
  • Ditto, but with this major heartburn shit I can't seem to eat anything :-(
  • I am the same way, empty stomach feeling, nausea all the time. Not tired, still doing Insanity. I find after working out I'm more energized and eat a Luna protein bar 20 minutes later. The nausea comes back after a few hours. I'm also soooo thirsty all the time!
  • I am the same way as @Ravenclaw314.  On top of the nausea, my heartburn never goes away.  It's really hard to eat anything!

  • Yep, eating constantly. Wish I could say that I was constantly eating carrots and apples but because I'm never really hungry (just nauseous), food isn't actually appealing, so I'm on more of a two-year-old diet.
Tea and sparkling water help too... but not as well as food. Makes me feel like a whale, already!
