Due Date

Can anyone help me determine my due date?  My cycle has been different every month.  July (first month off BC) I was 31 days, August 37 days, and in September I must have gotten pregnant, because I have had a positive blood test (yay)!  We only had 3 chances to try which were 9/18, 9/25, and 9/28.  I had a negative pregnancy test on the 9th but a positive on the 18th, and then my blood test!  I am anxious to figure out my due date because I am supposed to be in a wedding May 30th.  I'm thinking that won't be happening!  If anyone with more experience has a guess I would love to know when you think I might be due!  Thanks for the help!

What was the date of the first day of your last period?

First Day of last period

MINUS 3 months

PLUS 1 week.

Example:

My LMP was Sept 15

MINUS 3 months is June 15

PLUS 1 week is June 22.

EDD 6/22/15

You need to know your ovulation date to truly know your due date. Unless you have exact 28 day cycles where you ovulate day 14, going by the LMP start date won't be entirely accurate.

Ovulation can also happen at a different time each month...I usually ovulate somewhere between day 19 and day 31. The month I got pregnant I ovulated day 31. So going by LMP would be 2.5 weeks off from my actual due date based on ovulation.

At your first ultrasound the doctor will give you an accurate date based on growth. Until then, unless you know when you ovulated, all you'll have is a wild guess.

Rereading your dates...I'm thinking the sex on 9/28 probably was your winner...The earlier dates would have most likely gotten you positive tests on 10/9. However sperm can live for several days in your system...I'd guess you ovulated somewhere between 9/28 and 10/2. Which would make your due date somewhere in the 6/21-6/25 range most likely. Still a guess but not too big a range.

You would need to know the day of your LMP. This sounds similar to me. I went for an ultrasound Tuesday and based on a 28 day cycle I should have been 7.5 weeks. However, my cycles fluctuate from 31-35 days so on the u/s I was only showing to be 6 weeks. I would say you're probably about a 1-1.5 weeks behind online calculations based on 28 days.

Thanks, I figure the most pregnant I could be is 5 weeks and 1 day, and that would put me at June 25th.  Since the earliest I could have gotten pregnant would be 9/18.  I kind of figured it out backwards, but I think that makes sense?
