Pumping weaning

So I made it to a year breastfeeding and am a very proud momma!! I will start weaning from pumping and lo is currently getting 2oz of whole milk in her 5 oz bottles. Any tips from weaning from pumping? Did you slowly start dropping sessions or making sessions shorter and then dropping? I'm definitely getting my period since I've seen a drop in my supply which I've read is a good time to wean during the month because you can avoid the pain from weaning.

Way to go!! I'm down to one pump a day now. And I just shortened one pump at a time until it was eliminated completely. Then after a few days my suppy went down and then I did the same with dropping the next pumping session. I took it slow because I can't handle the pain of just stopping.
