I'm all for positive parenting/reinforcement but when your child hits mine and your reaction is "thank you for having so much energy Timmy" and you do not acknowledge the negative behavior that impacts MY kid I will bust you the fvck up. Be a responsible parent.
If you live in the developed world and don't make an effort to recycle, well, you're just being a jerk.
We live outside the city limits and don't have recycling pick-up. We still recycle but have to drive to a facility about 20 minutes away.
We don't really have the space to store everything and every month I think this is the last time we're saving stuff. Then I get overwhelmed with guilt and do it again.
It pisses me off to think there are people that just have to set it outside next to their garbage but won't do it. X(

If I send you mil's address, can you send this to her? She has said more times than I can count that she doesn't really need to recycle because she's only one person -- how many recyclables can one person really generate? Well, off the top of my head? Most your meals come from cans, you read the newspaper everyday, you use laundry soap and shampoo from plastic bottles...
Maybe this is just a pet peeve... But I can't stand when some one says they got something "off line." No, you didn't. You got it online. Or you got it off the internet. If you were offline, you wouldn't have gotten anything.
I'm not so into Halloween. It's fun, but I don't understand over the top decorations and stuff. I want it to be a fun holiday for my kids, but after they're grown, my observance will probably cease to exist.
Also, kids are the worst during the lead up to candy holidays.
Walmart is a sad place. I just got back from running in there for diapers since it was next door to Lowe's where I was at. The saddest part is based on how I look today; smeared makeup, yoga pants, and crocs, I fit right in.

I had to go there yesterday. I think I was the most put-together person in the place. And that is very, very sad.
I don't understand why they don't shop at target. It's the same prices, I think. The workers look miserable, the place is dumpy and I had to walk thru the clothing section X_X

This must have a good story. Care to share?
DreamingBabies There is this one boy that goes to our community playground that is very "hands on".. he likes to shove and push and generally plays rough. I have been watching this kid closely because TBH his behavior irritates me. Tuesday afternoon he wanted DS to play a game with him but DS wanted to do something else. This little sh*t hauled off and punched DS in the chest!! This wasn't a questionable push or shove-- he deliberately hit my kid. His mom saw it, looked at me and then went over and said, "Thank you for having so much energy Timmy. Let's go play over here" and she guided him away from DS.
I jumped off the bench so fast and told her that she is ridiculous if she thinks her son can just hit other kids on the playground. That is not OK and she is being a very irresponsible parent by reinforcing this behavior. Then I looked at the kid and told him that hitting is not OK and if I see him hitting any children here again he will NOT be thanked for having too much energy!! (I had my really scary mom tone going on too.)
I try really hard not to play the judgey parent game this was beyond ridiculous. After they left another mom came over and told me that this little sh*t kicked her daughter in the face last week. Who are these people??? :-O
I hate what has happened to American Girl dolls. I got a catalog in the mail, and I was like 25 pages in before I even got to the historical dolls. They've all been redone and their stuff is terrible. It makes me sad.
I have a super controversial one today ... I think duck face is the stupidest photo trend ever. If you make duck face in all of your pictures, I can't take you seriously.

Oh HELL no...that mom is gonna be bailing a 10 year old out of jail.

This makes me so sad. I'm glad that I have my old dolls to give to DD. Molly and Felicity will be well loved by Baby Dreams in a few years.
I have Samantha and one of the old American Girls of Today, both Pleasant Company. I seriously cried when our movers wrote all over the original Pleasant Company box for Samantha's desk.
I don't get the appeal of American Dolls. I can't see spending that much money on a toy and all of the accessories seem silly to me. But then again I'm cheap.
I have a bunch with all the outfits and some of the furniture and accessories (thank you grandma!). I loved them as a kid. Those books were some of the first books I loved and reread until they were falling apart. I still have it all -- books, dolls -- and hold on to a dream that someday I'll have a daughter to share it all with. They're worth every penny ever spent to me. And now, I'd much rather spend money on AG rather than all the Barbie crap.
I love movie trailers. I get all excited about them before we watch a movie. I'm actaully sad if a movie doesn't have trailers. And I will sit and watch trailer after trailer on the computer.
Not a UO in my book! I love the previews.
....which reminds me that I haven't been to a movie in over a YEAR. Good lord.
I love, love, love, baby food pouches. Like, I feel the need to purchase at least 3 every time I go to a store. And I get irrationally excited about new flavors/combos, and irrationally disappointed when W hates one.
@Codypup - Everyone else I know hates them and doesn't mind getting to a movie late (to miss the previews). I want to get there early just to watch the previews!
A year is a long time. If you get some free time, you should go see Gone Girl.

I don't think there is any excuse to not recycle. We live in an apartment and have zero space to save recyclables, but we still do. Every month this is what part of our hall looks like. Things that we can't get money for go out to the recycling dumpster in the back of our complex. I recycle everything that can be recycled, and it drives my DH nuts because he always has so much to take out. Too bad, get over it, DH.
Here is my beautiful hallway.
My UO: I could care less about if something is organic or not. I never jumped on that bandwagon, but I'm willing to be converted if someone is able to show me the light. #contradiction (Sorry, that's the best I've got this week.)
I don't like to parent judge, but there are curtain things I will judge you for. Ex: neighbor is a nurse/counselor for at risk new moms. She has been feeding her 3 month old cerial and water. Her job is to help teenage mothers, and she can't be bothered to know any of the 'current' recommendations. She tried to correct me, when I reminded her of WHO's and others recommend feeding guidelines. She uses her RN as an 'I know the most upto date' while doing idiotic things.

MIL can babysit!!!!!!!!!! Fabulous idea.
@Codypup Gone Girl is this months book club selection, so seeing the movie is homework. Also look and see if your new local theatres do a kids day. Ours has stars and strollers day. It's a regular movie, not a kids one, that you can bring babies to
Shady I don't mind at all, that makes sense to me. I see it all the time in headlines. Today on E they said someone was 'the queen of shade'. Watch so and so throw shade. Gah, like nails on a chalkboard.

So what is it called when I talk GOOD about you?? Can it he throwing glitter?

I'm just reading UOs. I'm so happy that I'm old enough to not have to deal with that ridiculousness.

Thank You! I think I deserve a badge for threatening children on the playground! ;-)
