My update-- basically, I'm delayed. Again. After being told oct/nov for *forever*, I was told today that my estimated FET will now be 12/8. MF'ing lupron strikes again...Oh, and we're STILL waiting on PGD results. It's "only" been 3 wks. Because that's normal... :-q
We will have beta 12/22...either the best Xmas gift ever or reason to drink myself into forgetting Xmas 2014.
Sorry so snippy. I'm so tired of playing this waiting game. Especially when I need to double whatever time frame my office gives me.
I'll be lurking and praying for lots of BFPs! Best of luck to you ladies! Xoxo

Hello tiny turkeys!! Still nothing new for me. Going tomorrow for cervical cultures and still waiting for AF which is expected to arrive November 1. I'm looking forward to getting all of this started!
QOTD: currently pumpkin spice lattes! I can't get enough!
katers79, I am so sorry that your cycle has been delayed ( this waiting time is awful, I totally understand your frustration. ((hugs)) FX for you in December!!!
@jen102279 - I'm so, very sorry.
Nothing new here. Just keeping at it with the Lupron, Metformin, prednisone & Synthroid. I will start Delestrogen on Monday, and our donor will start stims 11/1. I'm currently listed as 'stimming' which isn't accurate. But whatever
Qotd: ice cream. I want all the ice cream. Damn this low-carb/gluten-free/dairy-free diet!!!
I think they moved people on lupron to "stimming" when they were usually left under "prep." I'm listed under stimming too. But you'll be in the stimming/priming category soon when you start delestrogen on Monday.

Sorry I am so late to the party. I played hooky from work yesterday (with my bosses permission, of course ;-)) and spent the day with my husband watching movies at the Heartland Film Festival. Nothing quite like independent films for a good cry. I am now up to 16 films with 5 more to go tomorrow before the festival ends. DH will have seen like 40 or something... Anyway, been a busy week. MIL is doing well after surgery. She got home on Tuesday. Biopsy results confirned cancer in both ovaries and only one lymph node, but no signs of it in any of the other biopsied tissue. This is actually great news, all things considered. There will be chemo in the future, but doctors think they got it all and are giving her a good prognosis.
As for me, I am up to 3 estrogen patches and down to one dose of Lupron per day. Baseline scan in next Wednesday. Getting closer!
I hope everyone has a great Friday and wonderful weekend.
QOTD: Raw cookie dough and true crime TV shows, I suppose. I am not at all guilty for my love of wine and cheesy SciFi TV shows, though. ;-)

Twinkie0612, that's what we had in mind when we considered you two in the "stimming list"..
I think it's just confusing to people that have done multiple cycles because lupron isn't stimming, it's kind of the opposite of stimming. Stimms wake up your ovaries making your follicles develope and lining thicken. Lupron does the opposite, it quiets your ovaries and keeps your lining from building up.
It's also confusing for people with FETs to be listed under stimming because they aren't stimming their ovaries this cycle.
In the end it doesn't really make that much difference.

Thanks for clearing that up! I didn't think Lupron was stimming, but I'm new to this so I was confused. I was told no caffeine after I start stimming.... so I'm going to go get myself a latte!
Thanks for the suggestions Ladies! Sorry I moved people prematurely!! I was thinking Lupron was stimming since we are shooting ourselves up, but you are right it is doing the opposite. We can move people back! Thanks for your feedback. Sorry for the confusion!

Ladies, for those who are on Estrogen Priming Protocol, I have one question...
I have received the list of medication to order them today and I was expecting the estrogen patches (vivelle), ganirelex, gonal-f, menopur, and novarel... what I was not expecting was a lupron micro-dose... Is this list of medication similar to what you have? The only instructions that I have so far is to start the patches friday and ganirelex, that's it so I don't know why she wants lupron. /:)

Maybe they want the option to trigger with lupron since you are using Ganirelix as your antagonist? or maybe a combo trigger of Lupron and HCG?
I can't help you too much because I am a SIRM patient and they do some really unique protocols. I use lupron for down regulation (10 units overlapped with BCP and then drop down to 5 units once BCP is stopped), switch to ganirelix at baseline (125mcg or half a syringe), then take delestrogen and estrogen suppositories for estrogen priming (10 days), then start stimming. I will trigger with a generic HCG trigger (pregnyl).

Welcome to our new friends. I can't respond to everyone, as I'm mobile. My bw/US is Tuesday hoping for a good lining. I'm only on estrogen patches right now to prepare for my FET. Ladies, stupid question, will I ovulate this month? QOTW My guilty pleasure is also Teen Mom/16 and Pregnant. My husband and I also sit back and judge during the show!
Wow that's really interesting protocol @Twinkie0612!! I will call my clinic Monday to ask them.. I just want to make sure that they aren't ordering medication that I will not use..
This is my third time on estrogen patches, second time on vivelle dots. I've never really noticed side effects other than mild skin irritation at the application site. It doesn't make me feel crazy emotional or anything. ;-)

Awww, I'm sorry to have kicked up all that fuss with the 'lupron's not stimming' thing! It really isn't that big a deal! I just didn't think to look for my name under stimming because I won't be stimming at all for this cycle - my donor will be doing that for me! I think she's still suppressing too until 11/1.
I'll be starting Delestrogen on Monday to get my uterus prepped for a hopeful transfer. I know we went into this with the expectation that we'd freeze-all if necessary, but I REALLY hope we get to do a fresh transfer. After all this stress and work the past three weeks... I just don't want to go through it again. Of course we will if that's what's best. But I will cry my eyes out if we have to!
I had my first hiccup of the cycle. I went to do my delestrogen injection last night and realized that I didn't have any syringes and needles for it! Luckily I have quite the stash of syringes and needles from leftover from previous cycles, so I was able to make it work. Now I will need to call the pharmacy and see if I can get the correct needles and syringes shipped.
It's not really surprising that this happened. It took a few tries to get my order correct since I didn't have them fill the entire order since I had some meds leftover and donated.

Today is my last day of BC. I forgot to take my pill today until 10am. I hope it doesn't screw up AF coming. I have an acupuncture appointment on Monday which hopefully will help AF show up!!! If everything goes as planned I start Vivelle patches and Estrace next Sunday!!!

@doves654 this is my first IVF cycle as well and I'm also super nervous. My anxiety is through the roof. I'm terrified of needles but have managed to get through it so far. @mariana81I used Alex.ander's Tw.in. My clinic sent in a prescription for my entire order and then I told the pharmacy which meds I needed and how much. At first I tried just telling them what I wanted to change from the order (ie I only need 5 300 follistim insted of 7) but then they thought I only needed the meds I mentioned. It took a few tries and they had to go back to my prescription and add stuff to my order. Delestrogen was one of the meds they had to add to my order and it looks like they forgot to add the needles and syringes.
I called them today, but of course the fertility pharmacy is only open Monday-Friday so I was transferred to the retail pharmacy. The lady I talked to was absolutely no help. I explained that my order was missing some of my syringes and needles and she took my name and DOB and talked to the pharmacist. She got back on and told me that they included a package of needles and there were also some included in my kit (she couldn't pronounce luprolide acetate). I explained that those were insulin needles and I was missing 1ml syringes, 18g 1.5" needles, and 22g 1.5" needles. She went back to the pharmacist and then got back on and said that they included the 1ml syringes. I told her that the 1ml syringes I received were to split my ganirelix, I didn't recieve the 1ml syringes for my delestrogen. She proceded to tell me that the pharmacist said he filled my order and the needles and syringes were in there. Which is crap because I scanned the order and they weren't even listed on the order, which is why they weren't in my box. I finally told her that I would call back on Monday. The people I have talked to on the fertility side of the pharmacy are really nice and I have never had an issue with them. Hopefully I can get it straightened out on Monday and they will send me the syringes and needles I need. If not I will just have my nurse call in a script for the syringes/needles to a local pharmacy.

First off, I want to apologize for being MIA this week, but it's been an insane week at work. I actually went into the office all day today as well so now I'm finally getting some relaxation time.
lebradford - Insurance companies are the worst to deal with!! I'm OOP on pretty much everything, but they do cover my bloodwork and they seem to screw it up every time. Just recently Quest sent me a bill which I paid, then they sent me a refund because my insurance covered it, then they sent me a new bill which I had to pay. I guess insurance couldn't make up its mind on whether or not it was covering the bill. I'm glad you got it sorted out though! NariaDreaming- Doctors can be such pricks sometimes. I hope you prove him wrong!
cwoodward777 -glad to hear that you aren't having any lupron problems. Now that I've decreased to 10 units mine have decreased significantly. FX to you for no more butt rashes!
carrieharry79- I promise it gets easier. Soon you will be an injection pro!
katers79 Good luck in December. I'm horrible too when it comes to the waiting game.
Whew! Big group! I'm still shooting myself up with Lupron and up to 2 estrace a day now (starting 3 a day tomorrow). I just found out any ultrasound yesterday I have a cyst and today I went in for Progesterone bloodwork, so I'm really hoping that my FET doesn't get delayed.

@mariana81--Sorry I didn't include this info sooner. This is IVF #3 for me. We are doing IVF/PICSI for our MFI and embryo quality issues. Added low dose HCG this time during stims and also thinking about acupuncture (more needles??). Thanks for running this group!
Sorry I have been MIA. Anyone remember me saying I didn't have side effects from Lupron? Well, I got mine tenfold for round 2... Holy crap I am a nut job.
I am still doing 10 Lupron every night and started estrace 1X per day last night. My first baseline/sono came back good so I am still scheduled for Nov. 11 transfer:)
So my DH threw a bomb my way... He was promoted (yay!) and we are moving to Charlotte, NC (WTH) starting this week (this is BS). Obviously I can't go but my husband is leaving Wednesday. Hello @ktabs, I am glad you are back I will have Lupron in my cycle too, and it will be my first time with this med.. I am already terrified with these side effects.. Gladly you are having good results, so my fingers are crossed for your ER! Wow what a great change, from Dallas to Charlotte!! Are you excited? Have you ever been in Charlotte before? I like this kind of change... we almost moved to Nashville but DH was a little bit terrified and decided to stay lol. I would have loved to move from NJ to Nashville

PAIF/SAIF Welcome!
It doesn't make me feel crazy emotional or anything. ;-)

QOTD- SOOO many guilty pleasures. Live TV shows housewives of nj, scandal, greys, how to get away with murder. Chocolate and anything pumpkin work too.

****All Welcome****

PAIF/SAIF Welcome!
lebradford - Insurance companies are the worst to deal with!!

Whew! Big group! I'm still shooting myself up with Lupron and up to 2 estrace a day now (starting 3 a day tomorrow). I just found out any ultrasound yesterday I have a cyst and today I went in for Progesterone bloodwork, so I'm really hoping that my FET doesn't get delayed.
