Ultrasound at 6 weeks

Had my first ultrasound Monday! At first I was very scared as the tech said she just saw the gestional sac, no baby. With some moving around of the transvaginal probe, there it was! From my LMP I was 6w4d but according to the ultrasound measurement--5w6d, not too far off. I couldn't remember the tech saying about seeing a yolk sack and I have been worried....she may have said it while I was in sheer panic over not seeing a baby. Also we could see the heartbeat fluttering but couldn't quite hear it yet which was normal she said. Going back Oct 29 when I will be 7w2d. Has anyone else not seen a yolk sack but a baby....thanks!! Or any or tips/advice to help ease my mind with my first pregnancy and first ultrasounds!!

I just had my ultrasound today. Measuring 5 weeks 6 days. We were able to see the yoke sac and embryo. We saw the heart beat but couldn't hear it either. We go back November 4th to do a repeat ultrasound. Best wishes. Positive thoughts!

We had our U/S today, and I'm right around 6w. (LMP says 5w4d, after the U/S today the doctor said 6w1d.) We saw, but did not hear, the HB. I've heard anything less than 7-8w is too soon to hear the HB (but IDK how accurate that is) but you can see it. 

It sounds like your U/S tech is a doof. She shouldn't have said anything about there not being a baby in there, so sorry you're dealing with that. I'm sure everything will be fine. GL on your next one!!

Thanks everyone!!! I'm hoping by the next appointment since I will be over 7 weeks I will be able to hear the HB! Def could see the heart fluttering though! She really had me panicked when she said about not seeing it, but once the baby was on the screen, tears started flowing hehe. Good luck to everyone!!

Just went this afternoon and saw that beautiful little heartbeat. Depending on the view Junebug was measuring between 5w5d and 6w (previous estimate was 6w1d but hard to tell when I ovulated since my body hasn't been "regular" after the miscarriage in March). Going back in two weeks!!

We had our first U/S today!! I thought I was 7w.  But tech said we were 6w 4d.  Heard the heart beat, most amazing moment ever!! I don't know if anything could ever compare to that sound!

I get to see my little monster for the first time on Halloween. Can't wait! Congrats to all mommies-to-be!
