I am so sorry. I agree with PPs though about getting a second opinion. That doctor just doesn't seem very compassionate and for that reason alone I would switch.
With my second miscarriage I went fully into labor, but according to measurements the actual miscarriage had happened a week prior. With my third miscarriage I could tell something was wrong and the ultrasound not only had no heartbeat but the baby was just laying there motionless and didn't look right where as 3 weeks prior it had been very active and looked healthy. My body never made any attempt to push the baby out. I would guess it's common for the body to react, but doesn't always happen.
I agree that you need another ultrasound. With my loss I had 3 ultrasounds total over a course of 2 weeks to confirm that I had indeed miscarried. I would not take one ultrasound where you aren't sure of your dates as an answer.
I agree with getting a second opinion. I got a follow-up u/s with my missed miscarriage because I wanted to be certain before I got the D&C. It can take some time for your body to recognize that you miscarried. That being said, I hope that rude doctor is wrong and you get the best news soon!
I'm so sorry you're going through this and I hope the tech is wrong. T&Ps.

This happened to me with my first pregnancy and I let me body do what it needed to. It took a long time for it to realize the baby wasn't alive and after four weeks and still no natural miscarriage I had to have a d&c. I hope everything works out for you and they were just looking to early. Sending prayers
I am so sorry you are going through this. I Agree, get a 2nd opinion. And definately find a new doctor. We all need a doctor that we feel is supportive and cares. My t&p are with you.

I am so sorry you were treated so poorly. I'm not a doctor, but I would advise you to take some time and seek a second opinion. It will not change the outcome but it will give you time to process and make any decisions that need to be made. If you are miscarrying, you will need repeat labs to check your levels and make sure everything returns to normal. It is inexcusable for your doctor to not have a follow-up plan for your care.
No words can express how sorry I am for your loss. Please take your time to do what is right for you, even if that means waiting for a 2nd or 3rd opinion or double-checking. I had to go in several times before my doctor and I felt 100% sure and it was so incredibly hard to wait. I'm thinking of you in this waiting time and hoping for the best.

Praying for this sweet baby due around June 20, 2015
**UPDATE** My doctor just called and said my labs where very high and I have a second lab tomorrow he said he's not looking for it to double or anything due to how high they were he's just making sure their not dropping. He also wants me to come in Monday for another ultrasound to confirm. It gives me hope but I still feel doubt because of how the last two days have gone. I will be praying to god everything is fine with my baby. Please lord let me keep my baby, just let it be a mistake. Please. Fingers crossed
Definitely dont get your hopes up however.. i went thinking i was 7 based on my period. Nothing empty sac.. went the next week again nothing empty sac... blood work was going up but not doubling. . They said "more than likely" a blighted ovum come back in 4 days for a confirmation scan and then voila a 7 week 2 day heart beating 150bpm baby... you never know i would definitely wait for a sign from your body. Chin up
Ugh I'm so sorry to hear this. Especially the insensitive asshole doctor. I had a horrible experience with a doctor with my pregnancy with my son, however like the other ladies suggested, I would want a second opinion. I would wait to find out your levels first before you make any decision. I'm not a doctor but I think your body will naturally release the pregnancy if the baby is not viable.
Re: 6 week scan, no heart beat... guess this is goodbye.
