I'm not a regular but I wanted to let you know--Chloe was admitted to our children's hospital for having a fever of 101.5*. I noticed this evening that she would scream every time I moved her so I took her temp: 99.1*. We called our on call pediatrician and he said to take her in if it was over 100*. Not fifteen minutes later, it was 100.1*. It kept climbing and climbing so we are being admitted for 48 hours. The hardest part was all the tests they had to run: catheter, blood draw, and spinal tap. It was so hard listening to her in pain. I was on the brink of losing it the whole night.

Right now she is sleeping and getting antibiotics. Then we'll be transfered by ambulance to another hospital because they don't have any rooms for us here. Thoughts and prayers that all of the tests come back clean and we get to go home soon!

Edit: Chloe is 3.5 weeks old and anything under 28 days they have to run all of the tests. I don't know the policy after 28 days.

Update: I tried to update yesterday but the site was being a pain. Anyways! WE GET TO GO HOME! Chloe tested positive for enterovirus. That's not a great thing, but the pediatrician said it's better than an infection. She isn't having a respiratory problems which is the biggest issue with the virus so she should be fine and to follow up with our pediatrician. We just need to keep an eye on her fever and give tylenol when needed.

I'm so relieved! I'm glad we have an answer and that Chloe is going to be ok. I'm excited to get home and get back in our normal routine. And I will probably collapse when we get home. It's hard to sleep here! But the staff are excellent so that was a silver lining :) Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!!
