OK, I tried this a while back, but there weren't enough people with outside babies yet. To keep the randoms thread more manageable, let's get our random on sleep deprived in here.
DS still wakes up every hour and a half to eat. Sometimes we make it two hours. He went down easy at 9:30 but I think he's gassy because he's doing a lot of wiggling and straining. We're on our second feeding now.

Last feeding was a gassy nightmare. He was up fussing and crying, spitting up then wanting more for two and a half hours. I finally laid down at 1:30 and now he's up eating again. Aside from night 2 while waiting for my milk to come in, this is the worst night so far.
Is it OK for my baby to sleep more than one 4 hour stretch? She does and it's glorious. She was 5 oz away from birth weight at her 2 week appointment and I really feel like she's back over birth weight now. The pediatrician didn't want to see her back until month old to recheck her weight
45 minutes, DS only let me sleep for 45 minutes. I wanna cry. He ate or wailed from 8-11:15, then blacked out. Usually this means he is down for 3+ hours, last night he gave me 5 hours! Tonight I get 45 minutes.
I want my mom to get back from her work trip. Right now my oldest has a nasty cold, my middle child is turning into an attention whore/asshole, and DH either has a stomach bug or food poisoning. I am way too tired to deal with this!

I am jealous. Mine will rarely sleep more than 2-3 hours. And if she is between feeds and doesn't go down right away she will still wake up at the three hour mark even if she ate several times to fall asleep.
I should add that it's 4 hours from the beginning of a feeding. So 4 hours minus the time it takes her to eat and then for her to fall asleep. Usually when all is said and done DH and I get like 2.5 hours of sleep in between feedings.
I'm just lucky that her cluster feeds are in the morning or afternoon usually.
Oh the post partum pains with number three SUCK.. ouch. . And I have to pee, but I have a wee one stuck to my boob also, my dh is pissed at his dad cause he didn't come see the baby tonight cause he 'had to make dinner..' aye yi yi
Up for the second feeding of the night. All day today I have only been able to get him to eat for like 6-8 minutes on one side. He has been gaining weight and was a pound over birth weight last week so I am trying not to worry to much but dude just eat a full a meal.
DH is about to get TP'd. He took the 1:45 feeding since he was just getting home from work. Well DS doesn't know how to tell time and started crying at 3:30 instead of 4 like I had predicted and DH freaked out like he had been home with him and up with him all day. Apparently I'm babying him (clearly he's a baby!) and if he doesn't stop crying so much he's going to have to sleep in his own room (umm no!).
Side note - how much is everyone feeding their kid currently? DS won't nurse so I'm pumping and supplementing and he's getting about 3 oz every feeding. At 13-14 days, is this normal, too much, too little? My appt with lactation isn't until next Tuesday.
Yes, your DH def deserves TPs. I can't imagine DS sleeping in his room already !!!
We are EF and 6 days old, but DS gets 2.5-3 ounces every. 3 hours and his pedi is happy with that amount. He tends to start covering his mouth and refuses to open when he's had enough, and that typically happens around 3 ounces.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
Feeding number three. I got an hour and 20 minutes between feedings (from start to start). He sleeps longer stretches usually after 5am so I'm counting down the minutes.

I'm up for the 2nd feed of the night. And DH is not helping tonight and that makes me annoyed. Usually after I feed her which can take anywhere up to 45 min, he will change her, redress her and put her back to sleep. The putting back to sleep can take awhile as she screams as soon as you put her down in the pnp. So now I'm getting less sleep tonight. I so love listening to him snore while I'm up feeding her. Jerk. I'm still waking her if she hasn't gotten up already at the 3 he mark. So I'll be back up in like 1.5 hrs again.
DD went to bed around 1:45ish. And we got up at 3:30 for feeding number 1. Can't wait to get back to sleep for a couple more hours. I-) At least this is getting easier for me. MOTN used to kill me and I'd fall asleep while feeding her. I think my body is getting used to functioning on little sleep. Great.
I should be feeding myself, but it's warm in my bed. I opted to wait till she woke up to sleep and failed. So I slept light for nearly 2 hours. At 1:20 hit the 4 hour mark and drug my ass out of bed to feed her. She's 5 weeks and change. I think it's still too soon to let her go longer than 4 hours.
DH goes back to work next week. Been getting the sads thinking about it. worry if he got to bond with her enough. We also hardly do anything lately so I worry that he wasted his PTO. He did get to spend 6 weeks with her which is pretty great. I also worry about being home alone with the baby. I'll miss him around the house and having an adult to talk to. He told me not to worry that I have his mom and my SAHM friend and my bumpies. It's just a change and I want more time with him. I wanted him to have quality time with her. I hope he feels like he did.
LO was wde awake for quite a while during the day yesterday. I thought for sure this meant longer sleep stretches tonight. Nope, they are shorter and she is up for longer. She was wide awake at 1:30 and again at 3:30. Still trying to get her down but hopefully the next stretch is longer than 1.5-2 hours. Edit: spelling

Do you have a heating pad? That seriously saved my life with the awful after pains this time around.
I've had this mild headache bothering me behind one eye for two days now. It goes away if I take ibuprofen and then shows right back up several hours later, I'm increasing my water intake and hoping that helps!
DS is still having diahrrea poops. Pediatrician said to just keep an eye on him. I am now terrified to change his diapers due to all my projectile poo experiences.
Me: 30 | DH: 4/12/85 - 6/16/14 | Quinn Patrick born 9/28/14
@crawford411 who knows but she is still wide eyed awake. She looks loke she's gonna fall asleep while feeding, then I burp her and put her down and she immediately opens her eyes
Lo refused to sleep the last two days. He slept from 1 to 5 just now. I am a new woman. Especially since I napped from 8-10 in anticipation of another sleepless night. We have as pedi appointment today. Hopefully he has gotten back to his birth weight and then some.
Dudes, I am awake for no good reason again. I was able to successfully get her to sleep after nursing and then couldn't get to sleep myself. I just kissed 2 hours of sleep goodbye. I also nursed her on the wrong side so now my left boob is huge and I favor my left when I sleep... It's DHs shift starting in 10 minutes, so this boob is just going to have to be full for the next 4 hours while I hopefully am blissfully asleep.
If DD wants to sleep, I let her sleep! She usually will fight sleep until 930-1130 but then she'll sleep until almost 6. I'm a fan of this habit. Granted were still co sleeping but I'm getting her to nap by herself during the day so I want to say I think we're moving in that direction.
One would think that after 20 minutes and 15 minutes of eating a baby would be blissfully full and lulled right back to sleep. Nope. She was awake almost an hour after that. God bless DH for taking the time to put her back to sleep.
To top it off once I got back to sleep I had an awful wake you from sleep drenched in sweat nightmare. Awesome. That's sarcasm.
Mine has a man cold so he's extra annoying right now. And his breathing is a snore/snarfle thing that's making me lose my fucking mind. I think I might send his ass to the couch so I can sleep for one hour.
Also, does anyone else have a crazy head butting baby? When I wait too long to feed Lennon, she won't latch right away. She just gets mad and cries and starts head butting my boob. I have to try to guide her onto my boob for a few minutes and then she eats like she's starving.

@windwithfingers How can you tell if a breastfed baby has diarrhea?? My kid's poop is always yellow, runny, and comes out in a squirt forceful enough that you can hear it across the room.
Normally his poop looks a little like yellow cottage cheese, but lately it's been all liquid and he's been having TONS of poopy diapers, way more than normal. After some googling, I assume it's diahrrea but nothing to extreme or terrible.
