So over on BC, the new thing to start labor is to put coffee beans in a bowl, add boiling water, put the whole bowl in the toilet and then sit on the toilet. Like the fumes will wake up the cervix or something. True story.

I just woke up to hot lava in my throat (acid reflux), so I raided my kitchen and treated myself to macaroons, chocolate mouse, and hot cocoa. Not sure if it will help but my craving monster is satisfied for now.

Can someone explain why my LO will sleep all day and be so sweet but from midnight to 6am is awake and crying?

Been awake since 3am. But he is adorable...so I forgive him.

I'm hanging in there. In a fair amount of pain (was not expecting Cervidil to basically cause one hours-long contraction and severe cramping, moving is hard but can't really sit still either) but hoping that's a good thing! I think they're checking me for progress at 8-ish, so wish me luck. I need LOTS of progress to have happened.

Good luck! I hope you have a very cooperative cervix. At least if you had to be in pain I hope it was productive. Keep us posted!

Someone asked me this morning what my labor position was going to be.. I said whatever feels right in the moment? Which got me to thinking, am I the only one not going in with a labor position set? I understand there are lots of different positions to give labor, I've just never been in this labor giving situation before so I didn't think to pick one before hand.

I don't have one "set" either. I have a handful in mind but won't know what works for me until I'm in the moment.

This is how I feel, how am I supposed to know what is going to feel right? This woman also told me her baby was huge because she was almost 8 pounds, and she gained a whopping 33 lbs with her pregnancy, "which is a lot".    We obviously didn't get along very well.

I am confused, Im not familiar with Cervidil, but why would they send you home? I could be wrong but when i did some research it seemed like it was something that was done in the hospital but you weren't going anywhere cause baby may arrive soon?

Glad that after 24hours of contractions this weekend my cervix has made some progress 3cm dilated! Woohoo lol yes I know it could be a while but im still happy
