Hypothetically speaking... If you were babysitting a two year old, and her Halloween candy was left on the kitchen counter, would you eat some? Keeping on mind, she's two, so she doesn't need it, and it is out in the open, not put away. Hypothetically speaking, of course.
Had my shower yesterday. I have a cold and a cold sore. I was a mess. But the food was sooooo good and they moved a big arm chair outside for me to relax in. My little niece fell asleep on top of me in it.
@rshamos hope you had fun, despite your cold. I feel a cold coming on myself and I'm terribly grumpy because of it.
I have the day off today (Election Day, gov employee). A little bummed that I can't stay in bed all day--we have contractors starting work on some renovations in our bedroom today, including adding insulation to our wall. Here's to a warmer winter! I know, not the best timing but fingers crossed this is all finished in two weeks and baby doesn't decide to make an early entrance.
I made backup plans to veg at my friend's apartment while she and her fiancée is at work. You know invade he dust and noise are too much. And interrupt tv watching in the living room. Priorities.

Ooh those Oreos sound good. I was craving chocolate chip cookies and it turns out the place nearby that has freshly baked ones has a weekly special on Mondays--3 for the price of 2. I was so happy.

I just gotta say it... As someone who has been here since April the amount of STUPID threads that are on the board at the moment is CRAZY. *side eye* WTF.

I don't even open most of them anymore. I check in on this thread and the GD thread and that's about it.
Apparently the crazy gets even worse after we all spawn. zOMG, my baby's poop looks like mustard! Is this normal?!?!?!?!?

I am NOT looking forward to this at all!!!!!!!!
I post maybe one or two things around here now cuz most of the time I wanna scream "Did you really post that you F'in Idiot"
I went to breakfast with some friends and our waitress told me that I looked great when I said I was due in December. (Then she said she would have guessed January because her daughter is due in December, but I'll take it) Yaay for nice people! Fast foreword an hour to my appointment... I have to go back tomorrow for a growth scan because apparently I'm growing a Hulk-baby. Oh good! (Insert smiley that starts laughing then starts crying here)
I couldn't take the back pain anymore, so at lunch today I went to walmart and bought tennis balls. I've been rolling them between my back and my chair all afternoon. Best $2 spent ever.
Apparently these are a must have for your hospital bag too

This has been a lifesaver for me, too--it's a trick I picked up at yoga, where we spend a lot of time rolling out muscles and tissue. If you feel like trying something a little harder, I use lacrosse balls now--they're cheap on amazon and come in fun colors. I have neon orange at home and lime green at work. Rolling against a wall (or on the floor when you're not pregnant) works great too, especially in tension spots around your neck and shoulders, and around your lower back/side of your hips if you have tight hip flexors, as I do.

Good morning! I am definitely adding tennis balls to my grocery list.
My dogs got up three times last night to bark at coyotes in the golf course behind our house. I had to lock them in our room with us. Such brats!
I am floored by how many people knew of the tennis ball trick and this is the first I'm hearing about it! FLOORED. I have a terrible back and flat feet, so I feel like knowing this will make my life better even after pregnancy.
Morning admission: The bored, up-too-early nerd in me knows how to fix those QBF issues people have regularly and wants to make screenshots of how to fix it, but that seems like overkill.
You have to share. I figure it has something to do with the blockquote tags or the divs getting misaligned, but it hasn't bothered me enough to put the effort into figuring it out.
@AnonnAni - Yeah, I'm going to have a hard time not eating anything. :S I told my husband, "When I go into labour, I plan to stuff my face. If they're not gonna let me eat, I'm going to fill that sucker full of food before I go."
I'm mostly kidding, though, after reading so many stories about women throwing up during labour.
Oh dang, ummm yeah puking would suck.. I haven't last two labors so HOPEFULLY won't this go round but I'm totally not playing about, I eat when I want and you can F off if you tell me other wise.
@misskilljoy, I ate before going to the hospital but the trick I think was WHEN I ate during the labor process. I was still in the early stages when I did soe the food was probably leaving my stomach when the intense part began.
what I want is WATER. F-off ice chips, between contractions, you don't even have time to melt and I was soooooo dry
Score one for the birth center. Food and water are encouraged. They recommend honey sticks though for later in labor. A good sugar/energy boost but far more pleasant to throw up than a hamburger.
They should have a commissary at hospitals for all the things you might need during labor. Or I just need to make a list and pack my hospital bag already.
want cookie instead.

My nurse told me that if you have been puking a lot during the pregnancy, you are more likely to need to puke during labor. Since I have been seeing most of my meals twice, I will not be eating during labor.
@chelseavrancich I sat in a bean bag chair and tried to get out of it this weekend. All I could think of was your siggy of the upside down turtle. I even flailed my arms and legs like a turtle. If my pool was warm enough, I would definitely make the face of the seal in your siggy as well.
I was induced with both girls and had GD, so I was told not to eat after midnight and when I got to the hospital, they have to keep my blood sugar stable so I get IV glucose. I honestly wasn't hungry because my body was getting a liquid diet.
If I go into labor on my own this time, it'll be a whole different ballgame. For you natural delivery STM+: are there better foods to eat than others? Should I concentrate on just normal food, try to carb load, stick to protein or veggies?

I'd say carb load with protein. I plan on eating a good protein bar before going in so I have the quick and slow energy to burn. veggies take too long with too many side effects stomach wise.
I understand the thinking behind not eating, especially reading about the experiences of all of you STM+ moms, but it makes the already scary prospect of labor seem that much more bleak. I always feel like I have no questions to ask at my appointments, mainly due to not really knowing what to ask, now I'm planning to spend my next appointment discussing what the practices are at the hospital where I'll be delivering. I figured a lot will be covered in our tour next week, too, I hope.

He can make it up to me by MAKING THE NEXT SEASON OF SHERLOCK, ALREADY!!!
Did you see he's going to be a Marvel villain, too? He was great in Star Trek so I'm psyched he's doing more along those lines.
