Ok this is one of those stupid posts that everyone is going to make fun of later, I know. But I am going to be out with DD during lunchtime today and I was going to get myself a slice of pizza. So I figured, why not get one for DD too. I wouldn't do it every day, but honestly how is pizza any different than the grilled cheese sandwich she had the other day? I figured I would get spinach or broccoli so she could have some veggies. Is that horrible??
Re: Pizza?
My DD eats pizza about once a week. We buy the frozen pizzas and bake them in the oven at home. It's quick and easy and something that everyone, DD included, enjoys immensely.
We also had pizza for her first birthday party. We've been feeding her pizza regularly since she started on table foods at about 10 mos old.
Pizza is actually a really well balanced meal. It has carbs, protein, and fat. And, if you add veggies, it has that good stuff, too.
I make pizza for my girls every Friday night since we do pizza Fridays here!
