What's shakin, bacon?

So Husband and I had a come to Jesus meeting last night. We were talking about everything, and he asked me how it was going with A in my truck. I laid out exactly how unsafe it is. (Single cab pickup, she sits in the middle.) She has taken to kicking my gearshift when she's pissed. Never changed gears on me, but it won't be long before she does. So we agreed that I should look into trading it in. NOOOOOOOOOO. I love my truck. : But I love my kid more. Anybody drive a kia sorento? Opinions?

Just at work, but I woke up with a migraine today so I'm hoping the extra large coffee and some Excedrin will knock it out. My H left this morning for a 2 night getaway in Wendover with his grandmother so it is just me and little man for a few days.  I am hoping that he keeps to his allotted money while gambling.  His grandmother has been pestering him to go for almost two years, but we really didn't have any extra money to go throw away at a casino, but since he started his second job she was all up in his face about it.  I did mention to her that he did not get a second job so that he could go gambling. She looked at me like I had 3 heads.  I don't understand the thought process of that women some days. Hope they have fun as this is a one and only trip for a while.

@CnAnA I got a Sorento in August and LOVE it! I have the AWD model with the 3rd row seating option. I have yet to test the AWD out on the snow, but it's coming I'm sure. My requirements were it had to have butt warmers and a back-up camera.   If you have any specific questions about it, let me know.

@cnana I don't know anything about the kia Sorenta but my sister did test drive it when she was looking for a car and liked it, but she ended up purchasing a Jeep Liberty instead. She said she liked how the Jeep Liberty drove over the Kia. She does love her Jeep Liberty and there is plenty of room in the back seat for the car seat.  Also my mom has a Jeep Compass and loves it. It feels much more like you are driving a car versus a jeep, if that makes sense.  Also I have a convertible carseat in the backseat for Wesley and he has lots of room. 

The last time we where out of town we rented a minivan and ended up with a Kia Sedona and I loved that thing. I never thought I would like driving a minivan but I didn't want to turn it back in at the end of our trip. This thing had everything in it and I loved all the space.  Not sure if the Sedona and Sorenta are able to be compared the same way though.

Good luck finding a car. I hate car shopping!

Car SHOPPING I don't mind. Car buying makes me want to stab people. I dont like hassling and haggling and such. Just pretend we haggled and give me the 100% final lowest offer. Blah.

Husband says I cant spent the money that the sorento costs. But I can haggle him.

@porklump30 how high does it sit? I'm used to my pickup and refuse to go back to something that sits low. Im too fat and tall to crawl into a car sitting on the ground. LOL

@CnAnA I have to hoist myself up to get in, but I'm only 5' tall. I'm probably not much help on this one haha.  The seat height is higher than my previous vehicle, a Subaru Forester. Driving wise, it definitely feels like and SUV vs. a car. I haven't really driven a pickup truck to offer a comparison.

ive had a headache for days, sometimes its just a background headache, sometimes a full blown migraine. gotta be the stress.

DH got the beam up in the ceiling (we knocked down a supporting wall between the kitchen and dining) and HOLY KITCHEN. its huge!! I'm in lalalalalove!!!

B had her 2 yr checkup today. 17th percentile for weight, 98th for height. still my string bean. she was great w the flu shot, no crying!

We just bought a 06 Saab 9-3 last night since we needed a 2nd car. Hubs crashed my civic in December last year and it was totaled so we were down to 1 car until he deployed in February. It's not a bad car I guess. But man, buying used sucks. I just want my civic back even though I'm not driving it. But holy hell, I can't justify the money on buying a replacement for the civic when we'll only need it for a short while. The Saab is stick shift though and I'm not 100% convinced hubs can drive it. He's already stalled a bunch since we got it! Makes me nervous.... andplusalso I hope there's never a time that I'll have to drive it.

OH! And we got new phones because H lost his in Bahrain somewhere and because Verizon blows. He was due for an upgrade anyway. Got 2 brand new Galaxy S5s through T-mobile and our bill is still less than Verizon's and they buy out your contract. Freaking awesome.

Yeah, car buying sucks @CnAnA‌ , good luck. My dad has an in with a dealership so I let him haggle my last car... It may be time for me to grow up but it was so nice not dealing with that and having a price I'm happy with!

I am starting to get baby fever. H still thinks I'm nuts and is very done with 2... I'm not ready just yet, but I'm so not done!

Well now I found a Volvo 7 seater SUV that ispretty much perfect on paper. 3rd row, leather, etc. But there was no pics of the actual car, just stock photos. So I'm gonna stop by and check it out tomorrow. Who rolls up to a test drive with a snotty toddler? That'd be this sassy momma.

In other news, poor A is a mess. She has a head cold like nobody's business. She keeps rubbing her eyes and bridge of her nose so much her whole upper face is puffy. Poor punkface!

@GoGoGadgetWine‌ yes ma'am! Bless her heart, she's been in a good playful mood, she just doesn't have it in her. She plays for about 5 minutes then comes back and says "night-night Momma" and crawls up and sticks her face in my neck. Then 10 minutes of snuggles and she tries to play again. Rinse and repeat. For bedtime, she was already crawled into her bed with her head down before I even told her to after her book.

@CnAnA‌ she's 36 3/4 inches. I told her it's time for her to start riding the rides at sesame alone now. Lol.

She was a bit stuffy yesterday, now she's full on sick. Woke up at about 10:30 last night screaming. She was crying so hard she wasn't breathing in between. She scares me when she does that. Her poor little face is full of mucus.

@stephcarter are you having a problem finding pants that fit?  DD is 90th for height and 50th for weight, and most 2T pants fall right off her. I can only dress her in leggings, it seems.

@wesleycrusher‌ yes!! She can't wear jeans or sweats. It's leggings all day everyday. The 18 month ones from target fit her best, but they fit like capris. The 2ts are a tad loose, but now that it's cold out, the length is better. I put her in dresses a lot too when it's warm.

@stephcarter‌ E is 96% in height and closer to 45% in weight but we still have trouble with pants. His 2T pants that don't have the inside drawstrings/adjustable waist fall right off. The ones that have the adjustable waist are always at the tightest they can go.

A is 35.5 in but in the 90th percentile for weight. Its weird - she doesn't LOOK any bigger than kids her age. She's just sturdy. She has my huge long torso (Lord help her!) and her Daddy's short legs. So her 3t jeans are adjusted about 3/4 the way big, but she's got 2 inches of length dragging the ground.
