So I have 16 weeks left and Maverick's nursery is still being used as a storage room. It's not painted, the crib is not put together, & my husband keeps telling me that we have time but with the holidays fast approaching, I'm panicking.
Am I the only who doesn't have the nursery finished?
Re: Lack of Preparedness
Why not sit down together and plan 2-3 weekends that you can devote to nursery set-up? Doesn't even have to be the whole weekend, maybe just a Saturday morning for 2 hours that you dedicate solely to "nursery chores". It's a little overwhelming to think of getting it all done at once, but if you do it piecemeal, it'll come together and you'll have time to spare!
We started with selling our old bedroom furniture, which was in the future baby's room, on Craigslist.
Day 1(through 3 or 4??): we picked out paint color - we probably spent more time on this/at home depot debating colors and trying out numerous ones!
Day 2: We painted ourselves, took about 3 hours total.
Day 3: DH rented a carpet cleaner and cleaned the floor
Day 4: Assembled crib and changing table - it was so much easier than we thought, about 2 hours time
We did all this over the span of like 2 months.
From there I've just been looking for cute décor!

Team Purple!!!!
The room is painted gray and purple already but might need to change the purple since we are having a boy, haven't decided yet. Oh and our theme is not readily available anywhere so I need to get crafting.

I'd take a picture of our trashed front room (who ever said dump room was right) if I wouldnt be beyond embarrassed. The room used to be a guest room/turned holiday storage. We sold the guest room furniture...so that's a start right?
Im hoping little gnomes come in the middle of the night to clean it up and create the prefect nursery before February
**Siggy Challenge What You're Looking Forward to Most after Baby Arrives**
Baby #3 was a total surprise and we had been planning on being moved first, but we likely won't be. So, I am planning on putting him in DS2's room in a pack n play until we move and he has his own room. This basically means I have almost nothing to do to prepare nursery wise. I will be using one of DS2's drawers for the baby and purchasing another camera for our video monitor.. But that's pretty much it....
I guess I'll have to ORGANIZE. Yikes .
Waited a long time, tried a lot of stuff, science made me a mom.
The nursery is currently the workout room..so we want to wait until Dec so we can still use everything! I did buy Curtain Rod/Curtains and she has some clothes hanging up but that's it....I freak out every day about this and have so many lists!! My husband swears we have enough time....
