Pediatrician/ OB-GYN in Pearland

Hi Folks,

I'll be moving to Pearland from the east coast at the end of November and was hoping for some recommendations on both pediatricians and OB-GYNs in the area. We'll be locating on the west side of town if that makes a difference. I'm far more particular about the ped than OB/GYN, but I would like a doctor that practices at a reputable hospital - DS was born at a decent one, but it wasn't the best experience. Next time around for baby #2, I'm hoping for a more positive hospital stay. TIA!

Re: Pediatrician/ OB-GYN in Pearland

  • I use Pearland Pediatrics and I like them. As far as OB's I use Womens Specialists of Houston. I used Dr, Longerot...she is fantastic. They are located in the medical center of houston....they deliver at Texas Childrens Pavillion for Woman...an absolutely wonderful hospital. I just had a baby there on Oct 2nd and it was a great experience.

  • Thanks @Emilynzink! I browsed some old forums and also saw a lot of recommendations for Pearland Pediatrics - I definitely think that's where we're going to go. As for OB's, I heard that if I could find a doctor that delivers at Texas Children's, that's where I'd want to be. I'll definitely be looking into Dr. Longerot - thanks a bunch! And congratulations on the new baby!

  • Dr Kagan of Kagan Pediatrics is awesome. They are a father son team and are excellent doctors. Have always been able to get in same day too.

When I get pregnant again, that's the place I want to deliver. I was on Medicaid last time and called the first week of January to switch, but they had just stopped taking my kind of Medicaid December 31st. I was so sad! I'm excited to use them next time around now that I have insurance though.
