@absolutelymaybe I have had the same thing happen. I have a new OB this pregnancy (as opposed to the one I had with DD) although they are in the same practice. I still see both dr's from time to time (although normally the new OB). They have COMPLETELY different ideas and suggestions. I'm pretty go-with-the-flow but I wish they'd get on the same page so at least I felt like I knew what to do! I probably prefer my old OB (but her office hours don't work with our sitter schedule which is why I switched) so I am tempted just to go with what she says (plus I like her plan better), but it would be a lot easier if they would just agree. Because I don't feel like I can ignore the other OB's advice.
If it makes you feel better my old OB (who has delivered a fair number of twins) said that almost all the twin pregnancies she's seen without complications and without interventions tend to go into labor around 38 weeks. Maybe just average your two dr's opinions?
Good luck @Amandakea15 & @zamboni00! Looking forward to updates! Lots of positive thoughts being sent your way.
@CPM13 & @absolutelymaybe I'm "glad" to see I'm not the only one annoyed by the lack of a straight (aka pretend ) plan. My OB keeps saying, "Well, the hospital's policy is no scheduling anything until week 38. I'm sure you'll go into labor on your own before that though, so we'll just play it by ear!" ..Umm great, thanks bud! You best be available the second I hit 38 weeks to get these kids out of me though!
Can't a girl get a little light @ the end of the tunnel?
@CPM13@MrsC430 - okay so I'm not the odd one out here. I just think it was crazy because I hear about all these women scheduling their c sections (which is what we are having it looks like) months in advance and here I am like, "so what's the plan?"
Personally I don't want to go into labor if I'm going to have to have a c section. I mean, what if I start having a really fast labor and baby a starts coming out before they can prep me for the CS? She's breech! That seems incredibly dangerous. Wouldn't it be better to get them out before risking that?
Of course I'm not the one with the medical degree...

Well, add me to the list of outside babies! Miles Vincent and Sadie Grace were born October 22. I'll update with more details later but in the meantime would really appreciate T&Ps as they are both spending some time in the NICU. Thanks!
@tiersa_smith I have to ask. Do you have any boys names? I absolutely LOVE your girl's names. We are still so stuck on names. Hope your girls are doing amazing!!
Hey ladies!!! Just a quick update! I will do a more formal announcement soon. William David(5lbs, 11oz) and Averie Katherine(6lbs, 3oz) arrived via c-section. Born Wednesday 10/22 10:53 and 10:55p at 35 weeks 6 days due to preeclampsia. It has been a rough couple of days for me, but fortunately both babies have been rock stars since delivery. Thinking of you all! Averie is wearing the pink/blue cap and William is in the white one.
@Amandakea15 omg congrats they are so cute and precious! I guess we both share that preeclampsia story. Glad babies are doing ok! Hope you get better soon.
@erinwithtwins I really didn't so much boys names but I always loved Eli, Kenzo, Micah and Jaxon. I hope you find names that you love!
@ktibbits1 congrats and no doubt I will keep miles and Sadie in Ts and Ps. Having girls just released from NICU I can relate but I'm sure they will be fine they are a good team and I trust God will keep them safe and healthy
Updates on my girls Lyric and Brooklyn they were discharged on Thursday so we have done two nights with them and it's been awesome. They are doing well and Brooklyn the biggest and oldest is filling out. I shared some pics below. I'm praying for you all especially inside mommies who are getting anxious and nervous!
@ktibbits1 congrats mama! So glad they are doing great. Hope you are too!
@tiersa_smith So happy they got to go home! PS you look amazing! How are you already in makeup with your hair done and real clothes? Rockstar mama! I expect to be in a ponytail and sweats for weeks
Can't believe we are nearing the half in half out stage for our group. Yay!
@erinwithtwins you are far too kind. I certainly don't look like this everyday and I was discharged from Sunday and this pic is on Thursday when the girls came out so I had rest and recovery in between. most times I'm in my satin cap that looks like a shower cap lol. My clothes are maternity comfys and I shall be wearing them for a while lol. Comfy is key. The c section recovery is definitely a challenge but the binder you get in the hospital helps keep your incision stable so you can move around pain free. My doctor also uses a pain patch I think it's locitane or something that I put on above and below the incision for 12 hours a day and it's great too. I would certainly advise pushing through the pain to move but don't over do it. You don't want to hurt your incision and start over again. Do a little and rest!
