Placenta Encapsulation

Has anyone had any previous experience with this and would care to share? I had major baby blues and anxiety with my daughter and have been told by a few people that this helps balance hormone levels as well and rise energy levels post birth. thanks!

I read into it and was going to do it. But then the midwives we ended up going with don't offer it. I figure, it can't hurt so why not? Even if the only benefit is a placebo effect, it is still a benefit.

I wasn't going to share the plan with my family though, they would be totally creeped out.

The doula I hired doesn't do this but someone in the group she is in does so I am going to have it done. I figure it can't hurt!! The only thing I did do in advance is check with my OB to see what I need to do to take my placenta-some states are really weird about it from what I have read. I think the supply of pills also depends on how large your placenta is. Here's to hoping for large placentas!!!
