  • Thanks for the check in @rubysi

@furrypaws yay for a clear HSG and boo for a totaled car.  Getting a new car is fun but a car payment not so much.

AFM: This cycle has been frustrating.  I still haven't confirmed O and am on CD 26.  I ran out of wondfo OPKs so I bought some from CVS which apparently don't work for me as I have gotten a + on every strip which is now 6 days in a row.  I found a wondfo in the cabinet and dipped it the other day and got a negative with the same pee that had a + on the CVS strips.  Today I bought a dollar tree OPK which was a dark positive and my cervix is high soft open so maybe this is correct.  Hopefully I can get some sex tonight.
My first RE appointment is on Thursday and I'm looking forward to knowing more about my ovarian reserve.

NTTCAL related.  My inlaws have been visiting since thursday afternoon and they left this morning.  I like them and they were fine but it is nice to have the house back to ourselves.  The weather was perfect while they were here and we had a nice time.

Hi @rubysi! Thanks for the ckin!

TTCALR...So I had my HSG last Thursday...All Clear! That's one thing we don't have to worry about which is good! DH and I have discussed that we both still want a LO. We both want to try again. Now we just have to figure out when and how we want to try again. My guess is we will try one more time on our own before moving to IVF w/ PGD.

NTTCALR...So they have decided my car is totaled. :( Boo. So my dreams of having our truck paid off before I got a new vehicle is no more...:((  OWell. Just have to roll w/ it. We had vehicles in mind for a while and went and test drove some this weekend. We decided on one and I'll probably pick it up by the end of the week. Yay for new vehicle, boo for car payment.

The puppy has a hematoma on his chin. WTF!! How did he do that! Good news is the anti inflammatory and anti biotics will take care of it! Crazy pup!

Hope everyone has a good week! xoxo (((hugs to all!!)))

Clear tubes! Yay! I am glad you and your DH are on the same page. Sorry about the car... Having a new one is awesome. It's good the pup can be healed with antibiotics.

I am sorry this cycle is not cooperative. I hope your RE visit is infomative. I haven't had a wide range of experience with opk's. I have used the wondfo's that worked fine. My RE suggested I use the clear blue digital's. They give you a ridiculous smiley face, they also work fine. Have you been diagnosed with pcos? I only ask because your charts show alot of variations.Opk's can be difficult for people with pcos to use. They only show when you are about to ovulate and with pcos there are often chemical imbalances that can throw them off.

I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS and I don't have any of the signs/symptoms other than having a variable O date.  Using wondfos, I have had no issues with the opks.  I had one positive each cycle and ovulated the next day, easy peasy.  Unfortunately I ran out this cycle due to my late O, and didn't think I had time to order more so I decided to buy a brand I could buy in person.  Clearly the CVS ones are too sensitive for me.  I have heard that if you are older, you have a higher baseline level of LH (when you aren't surging).

  • @furrypaws congrats on the clear tubes but sorry about the car and sick puppy.

@tlc35 hopefully the RE can help you figure out what is messing up your o dates.

@veperLynch the trip sounds great but sucks you got sick on the way home.  Hopefully you will feel better soon!

    @rubysi thanks for the check-in

AFM We have been really busy with house stuff since we moved last month.  My family invited themselves to Thanksgiving (which is fine!) so we are in overdrive getting the place sorted out. I had my last IUI last Friday and am having the worst side effects from the progesterone I have had so far.  I am already getting terrible headaches and sore boobs like I normally would have 10 dpo so I am miserable.  Hopefully this one works, otherwise on to IVF.

  • Hi @rubysi‌, thanks for the check in!

I am CD6 of my last ditch effort before medical intervention. I have my first RE appointment on CD20. I have only charted for 2 months prior to this so it is hard to know what to expect. I Oed on CD15 2 cycles back and CD19 last cycle (looks from my temps like maybe my body tried CD16/17, but wasn't able to get anything going until 2 days later), but on the plus side my LP appears to be holding steady at 12 days.

NTTCR: my boss and I really don't "get" each other and I am getting really tired of feeling like a continual disappointment. He's a micromanager and I really don't work well with that because I tend to see things my own way and act on them. I do my job well, but not the way he wants (subservient, perhaps...?) me to. I don't know, it's exhausting trying to anticipate and do the "right" thing.

@tlc35 I have my FX for you with your appointment this week. I am eagerly awaiting a play by play.

@furrypaws‌ yay for the clear HSG!

@VesperLynch‌ I have had a cold all weekend, too. It sucks. Feel better!

    @rubysi How are you doing?

  • Hello ladies!  Playing catch up on work this week and just generally keeping busy.  We're waiting on the result for DH's Counsyl test and they are due sometime next week which of course is when I expect to O- so keeping fingers crossed that the results come before the O (and are negative for the recessive disorders where I was found to be a carrier).  It was supposed to be our first cycle off the bench and I really don't want to miss the timing by a day or two.

Other than that, just trying to enjoy the cooler weather and getting ready for all of the holiday fun- I LOVE FALL!!!!  Hope everyone is enjoying there week!

    BFP #1- 4/2011; DD Brynn born 12/2011

BFP #2- 7/13; EDD- 4/2/14; Lost DS at 20 weeks (11/16/13) due to cord accident

To my angels- I held you every second of your lives and I'll love you every second of mine.

  • @HoldingOutHope‌ I work for a very large company. I have made it very clear I want to change locations. It gets crazy this time of year so I am trying to be patient until New Year.

  • Hi, @rubysi, and thank you for the check-in!

@furrypaws - So glad you got good news on the HSG--yay! And sounds like you have a tentative plan. Wishing you all the best! But boo on the car--I feel yer pain. We had to buy two new vehicles 3 years ago when my car got totaled and DH's old car turned out to be a lost cause...

@tlc35 - I know what you mean by having the house back to yourselves. No matter how great the company, it's not as easy to relax. FX on getting it on! Btw, I think I recall reading the same thing with the higher baseline LH, but I don't recall where. It makes sense though that readings could vary based on different pee sticks.

AFM, I missed last week because we were out of state visiting friends. It was awesome, but totally exhausting coming back as our plane was horribly delayed and we did not get home until 5 in the morning--and I had to be at work at 10. Maybe because of that, maybe just because, I caught a nasty cold last Friday that I am now getting rid of...sigh. Poor DH. He tells stories of me snoring at night...

    TTCAL--related, no news.

That's great you enjoyed your trip. I hope you feel better soon.

You have 5-6 weeks to get your house together. I am sure you can do it. I am sorry about the progesterone side effects, that does sound miserable. FX the iui works.

Good luck at the RE appointment. I have had my share of difficult bosses. I might even be one. I would have a discussion with your boss to see what the ultimate goals are and see if there might be a different way to work that you both could agree on, that works for both of you. It might just be a communication issue. Good luck.

  • Thanks for the check-in @rubysi! How are you, lady?

@furrypaws ~ Good news about the HSG. (((Hugs))) for the decisions you have to make. So sorry your car is totaled. :( But I hope you like your new one! MH and I traded in our vehicles for different ones this weekend (long story, but we both needed something different from what we had). It's an exhausting process, but good when it's done! :)

@tlc35 ~ I bet it's so much more relaxing to have the house back to yourselves! Sorry your cycle has been frustrating. Wishing you GL at the RE on Thursday! Can't wait to hear your update.

@VesperLynch ~ Ugh, travel delays are the WORST! I hope you're feeling much better now, sweetie.

@yellowcat10 ~ We really are twinsies! We've also been suckered into hosting Thanksgiving this year, which is overwhelming given the fact that I'm looking around the house and there are still boxes and crap everywhere. :/ We can do this, we can do this! So sorry about all the side effects, but I've got everything crossed for you!

@meredithcarole ~ FX that medical intervention won't be necessary. Big (((hugs))) for your work frustrations. I hate micro-managers; I need too much freedom and definitely wouldn't be able to work with someone like that. Are you thinking of floating your resume?

@sunflwra ~ FX for test results before O! I hate that waiting game.

AFM: My endometrial biopsy is scheduled for Friday. The day after I turn 37. :-t DH is scheduling his SA for this week as well. I just want to get all of this done and over with, get back in for our follow up, and back on the TTCAL train. MH and I are planning to have the "big" talk soon - the one where we set a deadline and if we haven't been successful by then, we decide to call it quits. I'm just exhausted with this process and ready to get on with my life. It's sad, but I feel like this in-between crap is even sadder.

Otherwise, we're still just making our feeble attempts to get the house in order, which is difficult when you work full time, have lots of appointments and things to set up in your new city, and your weekends have been full. I'm fully engaged with my volunteer organization as well. I just got my hair colored with my new stylist yesterday and he did an AMAZING job! I have very vibrant red hair now! :D Oh, and MH and I traded in both of our vehicles this weekend for great pre-owned vehicles. Best part? We got them both for the price I paid just for my old one, and our payments are the same as just my payment was...so woo-hoo!

(((Hugs))) and love for all! :x
I am doing great thanks for asking.

Wow so many of you have moved. You have made some great changes moving, the car exchange, and vibrant red hair (I had this for years loved it). I am sorry you are in the in between stages. I do hope you will have some answers to help with that difficult conversation. The process is exhausting. Hugs.

  • @holdingouthope we need to figure out who/what is conspiring against us ASAP!
Good luck with everything TTC related.  My H and I had the talk and decided we will only go as far as out insurance with cover.  I know he will want to renegotiate that at some point, but for now it has made me feel better.

@rubysi thanks for the timeline, in my mind Thanksgiving is next week!
  • @rubysi It is a total communication issue.  And I know I can be a difficult manager, too, some times.  There's just a lot of bullshit and I'm over it.

  • Hi! I see this was started yesterday but I'm one of them newbies on the board and had no clue what AMA meant. I'm still learning all the acronyms and trying my best to not say something inappropriate that may frustrate you awesome ladies lol

I'm a late starter in life due to a 12 year marriage thar started right when I turned 19. I met my now husband when I was 34 and we got married a over a year and a half ago. We decided we wanted kids (neither of us have any with our first marriage) but now I have 3 MC's to my name, the most recent one being this past Thursday.

    Anywho... I'm 39 and will be 40 in June, mentally I'm guessing I'm mid 20's :-D

The board has been helpful to me already so I want to thank you all! I hate that you are all here but I don't feel so alone now :)

I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

  • @HoldingOutHope‌ Thanks for the welcome and sorry we have similar backgrounds, for obvious reasons!

And it's good we don't feel our age :)

  • Ugh, so sorry you had a cold too. Seems to be going around here--lots of sniffles at work. Hope you are shaking yours soon!

I remember you saying something about your boss a while back, even asking to be moved. Now, this is still the place you asked to be transferred from, right? It totally sucks having this kind of stress at work. I hope you/the company finds a solution soon.

@VesperLynch‌ Yep, same location. He kind of hinted I might be moving soon "I know you are ready to spread your wings and fly" so whether that was conversational or an actual hint I don't know. Here's hoping...

  • Hi guys, I'm new too. I'm 39 and found my wonderful husband 7 years ago. I had previously had a miscarriage in 2001 to my ex. After meeting my husband and marrying, we began our later journey to try for a baby. Over the past 5 years we have had 3 more losses. We began seeing a RE late last year ( I wish I had of started down this road earlier). Our last loss was 6 weeks ago at 9 weeks. My baby dream seems to be getting closer to being out of reach as time keeps ticking on :(
    Married to a wonderful man

    TTC since 2001

    4 losses - last one in september 2014 (9 weeks - male trisomy 15)

High FSH and low ovarian reserve

Ever hopeful that one day my dreams will come true
  • Thank you for the warm welcome everyone <3

@kyliehopeful I am in the same boat has you are. When I was younger  I used to laugh at the phrase "your clock is ticking" but I don't find it very funny any more :(

I just made the decision to see an RE this week, after my loss last week. MH and I had put a time limit on TTC during the last MC in April and that date is May of 2015. I am not sure anymore though, I have always hated giving up so we shall see.

You, and everyone else here, are in my thoughts and I hate that we have been brought together because of this. *hugs*
I am not sure how to say this without getting a "solicitation" warning so I guess I just say that I am not longer active on THIS site.

Welcome to our check in. I am 39 as well. I know what you mean about starting the journey earlier. For me I was not financially and mentally ready for a child until rescently. I try to find comfort in the things I do have.
