I am doing OK. I am so stressed about money right now. we had to start paying for daycare or lose our spot and I don't have a job yet. I have been doing well not spending.
My biggest regret is I over-buy. I buy too much food, it goes bad. i buy too many clothes for kids, they hardly get worn, etc.
This month is not going well. We need to start trying to not spend.
My biggest regret is just how much pointless crap I buy. I try to justify that it's not much money. But it adds up pretty quickly. I think I would have a lot more money saved and more bills paid off if I wasn't so stupid with that.
Not good, but not bad. I've been comparing prices for the party supplies for the girls' birthdays. We'll save if we get stuff from Walmart instead of party city. Also, I've included cheaper meals in my meal planning. Now we still need to purchase DD1's birthday gift and she wants an iPad. Not sure if we want to get something that expensive though since we now have LOs birthday in November as well.
Ahh my month is brutal. It started well. But I dunno. Things got out of control. I mean. It's not horrible. But we are definitely ready to go back to two incomes. But we still have two months of my mat leave left. We always have enough to cover bills and groceries. We have just ended up buying extras. Plus - we are going on a trip at the end of the month and that wiped out all of our savings. So that's kinda stressing me out. But I know it's for the best. My husband and I need this time together. And I know it'll all work out. My parents have said that if something happens that we need money they would help us, so that's really nice. I'm just hoping we don't get to that point! Next month we will have to be more careful!! I have been buying gifts for my son for Xmas already when I find stuff on sale. So that should help when it comes to christmas! And my husband and I are doing $100 limits each. So that should help for "our" gifts too.
