  • Ooooo I got this! ;)

    1) What do you have on your to do list this week?
Finish getting all the baby shower gifts washed/organized/put away. Pick up a couple things we didn't get.

    2) Were you successful at completing last week’s tasks?
YES! I have a new car and baby shower is DONE! :)

    3) Any other updates??
Hoping to get the car seat installed today, or at least the base. DH is building the pack n play today. I can't wait to get the crib sheets on and the mesh liner in. It's getting so exciting in my house! :)

    Last weeks list:

    -Paint the rocking chair

    -Install car seat bases

-Have DH assemble PNP and swing

-Organize baby shower gifts & figure out how/where to store everything

-Purchase Thank You gifts for shower hosts

-Thank you notes for work baby shower

    -Start making mobile for nursery

    -Clean out kitchen cabinets/drawers

    -Clean out bathroom cabinets/drawers

-Order changing table (waiting on completion coupon for this now)

-Order nursery prints (carried over again)

-Pack hospital bag (carried over again)

-Install car seat bases (carried over from last week)

    -Find time to relax

I feel like I was SUPER productive this weekend, even though I only got a few things checked of my list.  The kitchen and bathroom cabinets were freaking exhausting - all hunched over crawling into cabinets all day... ugh, no.  But I got it done and managed to fill FOUR kitchen garbage bags full of trash.  I just wanted it ALL gone.  I threw away so much!  I feel so much better now that its done.

    This week's list (and excuses):

-Write and mail thank you notes for family/friends baby shower

-Order changing table (I get the completion coupon on Wednesday)

-Order nursery prints (carried over again because I'm indecisive)

-Pack hospital bag (I have all of my toiletries packed but haven't done much else)

    -Have DH assemble swing

    -Paint rocking chair

    -Paint side table

-Get nursery organized and figure out where to put everything. The pile in the middle of the room isn't going to work.

-Call insurance company about DH's workers comp policy

-Call insurance company about our homeowners policy rate increase

-Buy shower hosts gifts (I have no idea what to get them!)

    -Mani/pedi

    -Pick out curtains for nursery

    -Finish making mobile

-Check status of back ordered crib bedding

We also have Childbirth class Tuesday until 10pm and Baby Care Basics Thursday until 10pm. On top of that - work just makes me want to punch anyone that so much as makes eye contact with me.  It's only Monday and I'm already over this week!

    ETA: a few more things

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

  • Can I play???
    1) Finish NSF grant proposal
Get back to thank you notes (can't until I finish NSF grant proposal)
        Wash cloth diapers
        Get freezer meals done

    2) First time player, so nope. Although, I did roast two chickens for dinner on Friday night and one went straight into the freezer.

    3) I am caught between wanting baby to come now and begging baby to stay put until this blasted NSF proposal is in. Ugh.

  • I didn't even check in last week because I did such a bad job getting anything done. And I was busy at work, but who am I kidding, that doesn't usually stop me.

    1) This week's to-do list:

    • Order wall decor from Etsy for Will's room and have it printed
    • Oil change
    • Install car seat
    • Work on budget for mat leave pay
    • Stay motivated and keep working on knitting Will's baby blanket
    • Get # for new family doctor from BIL and CALL THEM
    • Clean the basement

    2) Were you successful at completing last week's tasks?

    • Order wall decor from Etsy for Will's room and have it printed- Got two of them ordered and sent to printer, but need to pick two more. Need frames too.
    • Oil change-NOPE!
    • Finish putting stuff away in Will's room- there's still boxes of stuff that was given to us sitting there
    • Have DH put up the baby gates-Nope! But he knows....
    • Stay motivated and keep working on knitting Will's baby blanket -Not done, but I worked on it. It's about 1/4 finished

    3) Any other updates? Ehhhh not really. I didn't get much done this weekend due to spending Saturday in L&D. Again, another excuse. I think I'm doing the opposite of nesting. I feel like doing nothing.

  • 1) What do you have on your to do list this week?

Final bits of organizing in the bedroom...  Start the freaking kitchen.  (I want to weed out and organize every cupboard and drawer.  Jealous?)
    2) Were you successful at completing last week’s tasks?

Everything took longer than anticipated...  but I made some serious progress and things don't feel nearly as daunting.  I am still waiting for that nesting thing to kick in.  :::sigh:::
    3) Any other updates??

I still have to do do things like pack a hospital bag, get the car seat installed, set up baby stuff, and wash baby clothes and CDs....  but I am not due for another 6 weeks, so I feel like I have time.  (I delivered 2 days before my due date last time... so I am (perhaps stupidly) guessing it will be similar with this baby.   But as long as the mega house cleaning and organizing is done, I consider ^^that^^ stuff fun.

My plans were kind of hijacked by the news of DH's new job. Suddenly we need to squeeze in as much family time as we can before he leaves on Monday for at least 6 mo's.

    1) What do you have on your to do list this week?

-Wash the rest of LO's clothes (almost done, just the 3M stuff left)

-Treat stained outfits and purge lost causes

-trim and install the replacement shelf (DH has been promising to do it for days)

    -Prep CD's (held over)

-Go into labor before DH leaves! (a girl can dream)

    2) Were you successful at completing last week’s tasks?

I got most of LO's clothes washed and all the rest of our laundry caught up this weekend. Got the PnP aired out and cleaned, and all the bottles are ready to go. I'm waiting until DH leaves to organize the kitchen counter so I can put the coffee pot away, since I don't drink it.

    3) Any other updates??

Got a ton of stuff done for Dh this weekend. We went through all of his clothes to see what he needed to take with him, bought some things he'll need, and set us each up with Skype accounts. Found out Skype is free when you just talk between accounts, so that was a nice surprise.
