First cycle and already driving myself nuts!

My DH and I decided to start this month TTC.  I have been loosely charting/temping/using my CBFM for the past 5 months.  I have been some variation in my cycles...the shortest was 28 days and the longest was 33 days.  I have been getting "Peak" readings consistently and seen dips and rises post ovulation.  I also have witnessed EWCM as generally expected around ovolation (when I've checked).

Well, this cycle is a bit nuts. In full disclosure, I have been sick with a cold off and on for 3 weeks, so I know that can throw things off.  I thought I "O'd" on Saturday into Sunday (today is Monday).  I had EWCM Thursday and Friday and Saturday and had a temperature drop on Saturday and a temperature rise on Sunday. I also had light pink spotting Saturday afternoon/evening.

Now, my CBFM had low readings until Sunday.  I had 'peak" on Sunday and this morning (though the "stick" for today did not look like a strong reading); with CBFM, you always get a second peak reading, regardless of the stick.  I also took a dollar store ovulation test last night @ 8:30 (Sunday) and this morning and both were positive!  

My temperature this morning remains elevated and my CM feel drier, more creamy.

I don't get it...why would I still get a positive OPK, if I've O'd?  My other signs point to a Saturday or Sunday ovulation?  Anyone deal with conflicting signs?

My luteal phase is always 12-13 days, so at the end of this cycle I'll know when I actually O'd, but I wonder what our chances.  We BD on Friday afternoon and late Sunday morning.

Wow, that was a lot of information for me to try to process on a Monday morning, but I am not confident you have O'd based on your temps.  You may have but the illness may have given you that one high temp on the 14th which will keep ff from indication O for a while.  

You can get a positive opk after ovulation bc your surge is still detected so strong.  I always trust temps over cm/cp observations and even opk's.  

I'd suggest you have intercourse again today/night and keep temping. You may get ch's tomorrow if your temp remains or goes higher, but it may also take ff longer to indicate ovulation based on your open circles, slow rise, and lack of a lengthy chart history.  Best wishes!

Thanks for the feedback...I didn't even consider the 14th was off.  I know that was A LOT of detail (I attached my chart, too).  Maybe I actually O'd yesterday instead?  

I'll see if I can coax DH into another BD session later .

Welcome to the board!

I think a lot of people here have had trouble with the Clear Blue monitor.  It just doesn't seem to work for everyone...

I also agree with @kelley72--keep at it until you're more sure you actually ovulated.  Good luck!

Switch to Wondfos!  CBFM is really just not good, and it's super expensive so you'd think it would be stellar.  Wondfos on Amazon are cheap and you can buy in bulk and just pee away!    Good luck!
