Another random -- Went to the DMV today for my new license and they wanted my weight. Umm, my current weight? Or my weight before I get pregnant? Or the weight I hope to achieve soon after the baby's born? The guy told me to just go with my prior weight .
You guise! I thought for sure I was getting fired today. My boss sent me a meeting request for the end of the day with a really weird/random topic. I assumed they are tired of me bumping all day . I just got out of the meeting...they are giving me a raise! Technically it's because they realized through market research/comparison I was being underpaid, but whatever, I'll take it! I couldn't believe it! DH is going to be so psyched!
I just burnt down BBB! Major shopping spree! I returned some things my mom got from my "registry" (in quotes because I didn't have a shower but my family wanted a list of what we need). And I used almost all of the store credit!! It was mostly stuff we need but I did get some toys for baby#2 and outfits for christmas and thanksgiving! I'm finally starting to feel almost ready for baby!
DD1's teacher took one look at me and said "Still no baby yet?!" It took all my restraint to be polite to her. I whispered to DH that I'd punch anyone else who said that and he told me to be nice. Before we left, DS's teacher and the school guidance councilor made similar comments.
Trust me, people, if I could make this baby come out any sooner I would!!

@scarlet3egonias - I have the same problem with one of my twins and posted on this a few weeks ago. This sounds weird, but the advice @moroccojade gave me seems to work (at least better than most other things I've tried): I try to talk him down. I'm not sure why, but he seems to respond to it and gives me at least a little reprieve. The other thing that seems to help is taking a shower. Not sure if it relaxes me or him more, but it seems to work.
@dimples0101 - Congrats on your raise! Wonderful news!

@absolutelymaybe - thank you!! It's certainly worth a shot! I also read on another site to put an ice pack on your ribs in that spot. Seems a little harsh - but if all else fails I will try it. Mama needs food and air!
I'm sure we've discussed this and I'm a STM so I should know, but anyone generally crampy after a cervical check. I've had checks nearly weekly without problems but today was s different OB and it was a bit more painful during and now I'm a bit achy/crampy after...nothing come and go like contractions though
I just made lasagna and unloaded the dishwasher, and I think I might die. I really don't know how so many of you ladies work on your feet all day. I work full time, but it is a nice balance between standing and sitting.
For anyone who needs a good laugh today... Meet my Lex, aka Dorothy.
She's running around the house in this and we can't breathe from laughing so hard!!
Big hugs @FhSTAR81! Both the situations with Addison and your MIL would piss me off. What does it hurt for A to put her picture in the mailbox? You can take it out when she goes to bed.
@FhSTAR81 Ugh, how frustrating!!! Sorry you are dealing with that.
Ladies, I just got home from a 3 mile walk. What made me think I could do that after being relatively inactive for so long? I feel like I'm dying. It was just so nice outside I couldn't resist!
BumpJackie's name just changed to BumpMay. Weiiirrrddd.
I noticed this too! Wondered if it had anything to do with the discussion in parenting someone mentioned. About bumpjackie not working for the company?
@mommymeg143 I need to borrow Lex for my 'somewhere over the rainbow' themed shower on Sunday. Love the wig!
Sitting here trying to keep my feet up and our mix, Panda, decided he wanted to show my bump some love. I swear I didn't pose him and he stayed there long enough for DH to snap photos. Such a dork.

Had an appt today and my Dr. officially took me off work!!! She said I need to be taking advantage of the four weeks disability leave that I am entitled to before this baby gets here! I'm so excited! I'm using my sick and vacation time to cover these first two weeks plus I'll get the disability! It's totally a blessing.
Hugs to all!
@mommymeg143 I'm dying! Please send me your dog. She is adorable!
Sweet!!! This is one of those times you say.... God Bless California!! I was going to hold out to the end but decided today to get out on 31st to take advantage of 3 weeks of the leave. We are lucky.
Same here - fellow Californian and my last day is this Friday and I'm due 11/21. My HR department was not forthcoming with this information, I had to find out from another mom at work.
@absolutelymaybe your pup is the cutest! Do your LO's kick Panda while he's on your belly? My LO kicks a ton when my pomeranian sits on my belly (like a frog). She doesn't notice though
Yes @bethas I was 1-2 cm 50% effaced last week and this week 3-4 cm 80% effaced. I know it could still be awhile but makes me think this baby is on its way!

Yes, happens every time for me. Which sucks, because then I get my hopes up!

@IndianaMommy08 I'm so glad your visit with your grandma went well. It will never be easy or seem fair, but 'at peace' is reassuring.
@aragosta go will! I love good news about that little man!
