Thanks @lavendergiraffes! They said they're also doing a Baby's 1st Christmas event- maybe I'll go to a different near by BRU for that and see if it's any better.
They had a bag with a pumpkin on it that you could paint but there wasn't enough room for everyone, that you used for the "trick or treating". A worker read a Halloween book. They had us parade around the store where I thought there would be other workers or someone handing out goodies, but no- there was one table at the end where a lady had a small bottle of enfamil- which we don't use, a food pouch- which we'll use when she's older depending on expiration date, and a little pouch of wipes- which was cute. They did a couple of drawings. The store wasn't even decorated for Halloween nor were any of the workers dressed up for it. I over heard another couple say it was a waste of their time. I felt bad for the parents that brought older kids with trick or treat baskets and dressed up.
Sorry that it was lame! It makes me feel a little better though. We tried to make it there, arrived at 1025 and they told us we missed it. I was super upset, mostly because we have to drive about 35 minutes to get there!
The book was cute I wouldn't of mind winning that- the diapers were a size 1 the couple that won those had an older baby- I hope they were able to exchange. The stroller looked really nice- I would of liked to win that!
Ours was pretty lame too. Started with the paper bag to decorate, then we went around to some freebie tables (none of which were that great), then story time, a parade, and the raffle. The raffle prizes were: the halloween book, a baby first aid kit, brush sets, and a pkg of diapers.
I didn't hear about the Christmas one, but since the store is only 10 minutes down the road, I will probably still take DD.
