nwmr.....uh, pinterest 'pin twins'?

I dont use pinterest very much and only have like maybe 8 boards and most of what I've pinned is when I'm looking for something really specific like related to a room of my house or specific type of recipe or food idea.... so I was bored & went there and saw I had a 'pin twin' notification. First of all, I thought, that is weird, but I guess it helps you find other pins...but more wow-like, my pin twin has 75 boards and over 21,000 pins and is following almost 2000 other ppl.
Wow. this person must be pretty much everyone's pin twin. I will say, I might just peruse some of those boards, it narrows the search I guess.... LOL.

  • I have to admit I don't completely understand what pintrest is, which makes me feel geriatric.

basically just a way to graphically organize ideas and links to whatever you want in a single place, using folders which they call 'boards' like it is a pinboard. Has its uses for sure but some ppl seem to be a bit addicted & pin some crazy stuff.
Example- I wanted a place to save all the different photos of patio layout & furniture ideas I found online b/c I was putting on a patio. You create a board called patio and 'pin' images from whatever site you come across on there and they're all there for you to look at and re-link to when/if needed.

  • LOL @ MommyAtty

I never understood the pinterest hype and the one recipe someone sent me from pinterest was terrible - my husband almost wanted to divorce me because of it :D
  • Ack totally I have more or less stopped making recipes I find on there... I will pin a recipe I find on foodnetwork or similar site to remember it but those popular ones from blogs etc on there never turn out.
  • I use ChefTap to pin recipes. I had pinterest for a short time but abandoned it.
