Boy was I wrong......(BFP warning)

Ladies........i was expecting to jump back onto the boards again (for more that the last couple days) to start again after going through a crazy busy work schedule the last month or 2.......but I got a BFP this lovely afternoon.

I was frustrated with my absent AF with what felt like yet another just off cycle and to my absolute surprise i got what felt like a squinter positive blue dye test. I just took a digital and it is definitely saying PG. I am shaking out of control. 

Hubby thinks I had my period cause i was scheduled to have it while he was out of town. 

We were NPNT and i can say that we only did the deed once cause i was sick this month and couple that with super super busy......IDK how it happened. 

Im terrified and a little scared.

Thanks girls. @Tmorash honestly when i have small periods of absence (when my work schedule gets insane) i always come back to lots of announcements and it makes me super happy. This time i came back and I'm the one......total shock.

@KirstenAlecia I am so excited.  I was sooo hoping you would be a lucky jackpot anecdote that everyone who gets a BFN wants to hear about.  I think @URMySunshine posted this one day, so I'm going to steal it because it just how I feel hearing this.  Hope its okay.

I can only imagine the shock @KirstenAlecia ! And I can understand feeling terrified too; but it's very exciting! Celebrate! How will you tell your hubby? Have you given it any thought?

Congrats! I was shocked when we had our BFP, too - hadn't really gotten busy much and weren't trying that month! So exciting - FINALLY!!! XO

Im crying a lot today and I'm not sure if the tears are happy or scared. 

I want my hubby to be a dad and for that i have to be a mom again.....lol. 

I hope the shock wears off soon.

I do know how I'm going to tell him.

He made this silly joke yesterday about Bosses day and what did i get him. Yesterday i laughed at him and told him he was very funny. Im making him a Belated Bosses Day card and tell him ha is a wonderful "boss" and I'm so glad our company is "growing"

And to think I was so convinced last month when your period was late that you are pregnant. This month I didn't think you were because of the diet. I'm so glad I was wrong. This is absolutely wonderful news!!!!

Tell your hubby ASAP so you can both enjoy this together and stop your worrying.

Even though you have been scarce the last few months I will miss you around here.
I spend half my bump time stalking all my friends who have graduated to the PG board.

Me too girl me too!!!! 

I was ready to jump back in here and start posting up a storm again.......

Hubby sort of was speechless. he sat there and stared for a few minutes. 

After I posted I bolted out of the house after posting and went and bought a onsie set...one that was as unisex as I could find. It had polar bears and a bear face on the tushie and the 3rd piece said "cool like daddy" I stuck it in a gift bag along with the digital test. 

He came home and I told him I had his birthday gift (it was last week and he made me promise no gifts...so i obliged) had arrived......that i had just finished putting it in a gift bag. And he says "oh you got me something???" I said "yeah i was late ordering it so it just arrived" 

I gave him the card.....he understood why i was giving him the joke bosses day card since he referenced it yesterday BUT he didn't get what I meant by our company is growing....duh!!!!

He reaches in the bag and pulls out the test.........he looks at it with a blank confused stare. He was holding it backwards and didn't see the front....he thought it was a thermometer!!!!! LMAO! So he turns it around after what seemed like forever. Turned it around and saw what it was and what it said and stopped dead in his tracks and did the "REALLY???" with the dazed look on his face. I just nodded. He pulled the onsie out of the bag, looked at it and was totally speechless for a few minutes. Then his eyes got all glassy and he got a little shakey......it was so cute.

I was not sure what his reaction was going to be.....but it was great. lol. Total shock. In fact I think he sprouted a couple new gray hairs.....lol. More emotion than i truly expected with the misty eyes and the shakes....  

We told his mom already. 

We had her come over and he, like it was no big deal, said "look what Kirsten got me for my birthday."

She read the card....didnt get it either. We only had the onsies in the bag. I had put the test away. She pulled them out and basically did what he did. lol.

@KirstenAlecia that was such a great story.
You are going to be an amaxing mom, raising a child with a loving spouse is so different that doing it alone. Let him help and be involved as much as he can. I know I had trouble with that. I was so used to doing it alone that is was weird to ask for help or just hand over some of the responsibility.
I wish you the happiest healthiest 9 months.
