Hi,
My Fiance and I are getting married in a month. We want to start trying to conceive right away (or before, if it happened now we wouldn't be upset), and I know it can take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive. I got my IUD removed in March to let my body adjust to being off birth control. I had a normal period in April and May, skipped June, had one in July and my last period started on 8/24. It lasted 3-4 days and I haven't had a period since. At what point should I go to the doctor regarding this?
I am not pregnant, I have taken multiple tests at various times. Do I go to the doctor before the wedding/honeymoon or wait until I get back (assuming my period hasn't come by that point). I know there are meds that can attempt to "jumpstart" a person's period. I guess I am wondering if I should wait another 2 months until the stress of the wedding is over (although I don't feel stressed), and see if my period comes or if I should be proactive and go before the wedding. I read somewhere that you should see the doctor if you're trying to conceive and your period has been MIA for 60 days. Any advice?
