Cervical issues

I searched I swear and couldn't find a thread for symptoms of cervical shortening. I had my first scan on wed and was good at 3.6, I have another in a few weeks. Are there any signs I should watch out for in the meantime? Just the usual pain/bleeding or anything else specific to cervical shortening, thank you!

Thank you, first pregnancy and I had cervical cancer 10 yrs ago so it makes me high risk but so far so good

Thank you, I started having some left side pain today but I think it was just regular ligament stuff, seems to have passed now. I have been lucky with very little issues so far, thank you for the kind words, hope everyone is doing well.

It's great that they are checking it, so you can catch a downward trend early, if things were to go in that direction. Hopefully you won't have to sorry about that!

I had monitoring every two weeks with my last pregnancy. While I wasn't in a real danger zone, the length was going down, so my OB felt it was best to do a cerclage to hopefully prevent the need for bed rest. Procedure went fine at 17w. Cerclage was removed at 36 weeks, and I went into labor naturally one day before my due date.

Again, fingers crossed you won't have to deal with any of this, but I wanted to share a positive story in case you or anyone else reading finds themselves in a similar situation.

I have cervical issues from an apparent abnormal cells from my pap. I have a colposcopy at my next appt in November. I have no idea what that is besides from what I read in Google. I should look more into it. I thought of a million questions to ask of course AFTER I left my doc's office. Grrrrr.
