I think we have found someone right for us. There are so many factors I didn't even consider when we started looking, like how close they live to us. It is probably the biggest decision I have ever made in my life and it is so nervewracking.
Are you still on leave? If so, I would have the nanny try it out for 2-4 weeks before you go back to work while you're around to see how the fit goes. My aunt did this the last month of her leave and around week 2 or 3, she would go run errands and leave the baby alone with the nanny. Then she noticed that the baby was attached to the nanny, which was a good thing, and felt comfortable going back to work again.
i sort of did what Lisa suggested with my nanny. granted she is only p/t, but i was with her and Tru at the house whens he started. i would do house projects and things like take a shower and i got to feel really comfortable with her and how she acted with the baby. now i make a point to not be home when she is here. she has been with us for 21 months and we look forward to having her take care of Twosey as well
First, did you use that enannysource website? If so, were there any definite duds you can warn me about? We have been having issues scheduling interviews due to DH's schedule. If you still have my email, just send the info there, otherwise I can email you again so we aren't being mean on a public forum.
Second, I think I accidentally rated this post with 1/2 a star. It was unintentional.
