Natural remedies??

Hey moms - I need some advice. My almost 5 month old goes to daycare five days a week and literally has been sick on and off
for almost two months. It already drives me nuts parents bringing their sick kids in and with this enterovirus floating around I'm kind of getting freaked out. He just got over having bronchilitis and now it seems he might be getting something else. I'm no longer BF & have no supply left - is there anything anyone recommends to help keep kids healthy? Too soon to teach him to wash his hands??

I don't think all the precautions in the world can prevent small children from getting sick. Last winter I was obsessed with hand washing and avoiding sick people, and DS still came down with 7 bugs in 4 months. And he was home with me, not in daycare. He caught something every single time we went to the library or McDonald's. No exaggeration.

Thanks - I figured as much ) just sucks when they are sick and they sound terrible. He's been coughing in his sleep all night. Was hoping there might have been something.

I totally agree with not keeping them hold for just a cold (mama's got make that green) I'm talking about the big stuff - those are the things freaking me out. The bronchilitis he had needed breathing treatments and as an asthmatic watching my baby not being able to take a deep breathe was awful (

I wish I could give you some advice, but I don't really have any.
I used to be the assistant director of the daycare I worked at and typically children would catch everything for the first few months up to a year (depending on the child) and then they start to build up an immunity and they don't catch so many colds after.
That probably doesn't make you feel any better, but that was the pattern I saw there.

Thanks @deanna1313‌ I just wanted to be sure there wasn't something I could/should be doing to help my little guy. It's scary when you see these little kids on the news getting so sick

@mymommyplace‌ I know! It's so scary! I live in NJ and enterovirus is all over this state.

We diffuse theives it's sn essential oil I fit through young living. I'm not sure if it will help but I figure it's natural and worth a try. They have a website if you want to read more about it. You can also dilute it with cocoanut oil and put it on their big toe.
