2nd Trimester

Should I get a second opinion?

I have been having pressure in my rectum for 3 weeks along with an increase in discharge. I was extremely worried about IC and went to my dr. She did a pelvic exam and my cervix is closed, but that doesn't tell you if there is shortening. They won't do a cervical ultrasound. I have no risk factors (just a colposcopy/biopsy) but I am concerned about these symptoms. Should I contact another dr?

I don't think anyone here will be able to give you a good answer to that as we aren't medical professionals. If you do not feel comfortable with the answer you recieved then you should do what you feel is best for your health and your baby.

Yes, get a second opinion. Or better yet, find a doctor/midwife you trust becuase you need to have that as things get closer to delivery.

  • The answer to the question should I get a second opinion is always yes.
