Coping with cooped up toddlers

As the weather gets colder and crappier, what are your plans for keeping these active toddlers happy?

We spend so much time at the park, I'm searching for new ideas.

Re: Coping with cooped up toddlers

  • Seems like museum and activity memberships are the way to go.  Sometimes I just pump up some music and let her have a dance party. I'm not much help in this area. She's in daycare 4-5 days a week, and even when we are home together the weather out here is usually mild enough that we can get some outside time.

  • Our town runs a play group at the Family Community Literacy & Learning centre. The play group is not organized, just a time frame 4x a week (Tuesday's and Thursday's, mornings and afternoons). The kids play, moms can visit and have coffee. We've started to go to that and we have a few organized activities we do during the week as well (swimming & music lessons)

  • Also, we stop at my mom's school in the afternoons after the kids get out. We take some balls and other toys out and play in the gymnasium
