Welcome to the TTFAS AL check-in. This check-in is for TTCAL-ers with living children to talk about the issues about TTCAL while you have a living child. Living children and pictures of living children are welcome here, however if your pictured child is an infant (< a year old), please do place a warning at the beginning of your post to alert ladies who are having a hard day.  Please remember to post an intro on the main board as we are all here to TTC a sibling!

I ended up getting sick earlier this week with whatever DH has had for the last two weeks, fever included, so my temps are a bit crazy. Also, I ended up getting a lot of EWCM yesterday on CD15. I haven't been using OPKs because 1. I wasn't planning to start until CD20 because of my typically long cycles and 2. I'm treating this cycle as a NTNP with temping. So I have no idea if I'm randomly going to have a 29 day cycle as apposed to my typical 40-45 day cycle.

Also, I went to my normal Dr for just a check-up and asked what things I should look out for if my Thyroid might start giving me problems (my Mom had Hyperthyroid when I was younger and now has Hypothyroid). I fit the bill for many symptoms of Hypo so I asked her to check to make sure everything was alright. I should get those results by next Wed. 

Other than that I am trying to get my MIL to get me photos of FIL so I can finish Harley's "Grandfathers Scrapbook".

QOTW: We are taking her to the Zoo tomorrow and I can't wait! We haven't been since she was 3 months and she fell asleep half way through.

Good Afternoon ladies!

I have just ovulated after my natural loss, and because I wasn't given any instructions on trying or TTA this cycle, I decided that when I got a +opk that I was going to go for it. I'm not hopeful, but whatever ::shrug::

I had my repeat loss panel taken last Friday, and was told they would only call if there was a problem and that some of the tests take 7-10 days, so while they haven't yet that doesn't mean they won't. DH is actually kinda mad that they won't call if everything is ok, he thinks they should call either way. Hehe, it's funny the things he gets crabby about.

QOTW: We go to the library at least 1-2 times a week, they have trains, toys, Ipads, etc. The librarians know him by name and he talks to them his school, our plans for the day, dinner, everything! They have tons of free programs and we are currently in a temporary space because they are doing construction to make the library bigger and better!!


(Could I be added back to the EDD list?  My DS is Fynn, he is 4.5  and my EDDs are 11/4/13, 8/27/14 and 5/21/15)

Thanks for the check in @Nieko0423‌ . It's been a rough week for me- I just feel like I'm spinning my wheels here. I saw my OB in follow up to discuss treatment for my fibroid, and he wants to put me on a new medication for 3 months, and if it's shrunk, give the go ahead to ttc. This seems risky to me, and I just want it out. He disagrees but gave me a consult for another opinion to discuss surgical options (not his specialty). In the meantime I'm going to go on the meds, as they are often used before surgery too- but of course I need a special auth from my insurance (and they are $500 a month) so I've been chasing that down. I just feel like everything is a fight. QOTD: I love taking her to the playground- she has so much fun

Hi ladies!

I'm doing ok - feeling pretty bummed with my first EDD coming up, though. The awareness day yesterday was great, but made it all too real again. To top it off, 2 friends with LO's about DS's age just had their babies in the past few weeks. UGH.

QOTW: What is your favorite place to take your LO to?

Well we just took him to the beach for the first time and he absolutely loved it! Wish that was something we could do more often! He loves interactive things so the park and Please Touch Museum are favorites!

QOTW: I took him yesterday to get his 1-year photos and it was so fun! The cake smash, omg I was laughing so hard I was crying. On a day to day basis though I do like taking him shopping now that he can sit in the buggy. He really likes it!

Sorry I missed the check-in yesterday.  ((hugs)) to those that need them.

We are leaving today to head out to Hershey for the half marathon.  The race is on Sunday and I'm getting more excited/nervous about it each day.  Lots of packing to do before work today!

QOTW: The playground and the aquarium are some of our favorites.  They help her sleep better at night for sure!

Hey ladies.  I've been MIA from this board for a while but I'm feeling the urge to jump back in today.

Honestly, I've been kind of shitty recently.  This is my due date month, and it's been hard seeing family members giving birth to babies that were due right around Layla, thinking about how I'm supposed to be on maternity leave right now or transitioning all of my work in preparation of maternity leave but instead I have tons of work and work stress on me right now.  I'm taking a couple of days off of work next week for my EDD and the day following my EDD (since why not just make it a 4 day weekend?) and it unfortunately just making me even more stressed because of what I have to hand off before next Thursday.  Oh well, I'll still be happy I took the day off once my EDD is here.

Also, Layla's headstone was installed yesterday, which has hit DH pretty hard.  While I've been mourning since July, he has a tendency to try to put it all out of his mind so that he doesn't fall apart.  Then days like yesterday hit and he falls apart extra hard.  So yeah, it's just a tough month in our household.

Things on the TTC front aren't noteworthy.  In the TWW with AF hopefully waiting until after my EDD but we'll see about that.  The universe has a pretty twisted sense of humor, so I'm bracing myself.

QOTW:  DS loves the open gym at one of the gymnastics places here in town, going to a local place with bounce houses, and of course going any place that has pony rides.  So those are my favorite places to go with him so I can see the look of pure joy and excitement on his face.

Sorry ladies. After I posted this I kind of took a Bump break. Between being sick and my emotions from Wednesday I needed a break. So sorry I haven't responded yet. 

@gothefawktosleep Sorry your BBT needed replaced I hope you get a better one for next cycle, unless you hit your timing right this time

@mara005 I have to give you hugs! I'm sorry you are not feeling hopeful. I hope that regardless of the results you Dr calls. I'd rather hear it either way rather than getting a report that I don't understand.

@LauraO11 I hope you get the medication figured out! That's a lot if you have to take it for 3 months. When are you scheduling the second consult?

@TMaggie0424 Yay for 1 cycle down! And yay for the motorcyle! I love the idea of the scrapbook for art work! Harley is no where near school, but I've already been thinking about what to do with this when the time comes.

@ambmama Hugs! Take special care of yourself with your EDD coming up!

@mrandmrsk91011 Yay for YH's job! I know your choice to TTA is personal, but with your DH starting this job will you burn the bench sooner, or still wait for January?

@BootsOrHearts I hope you enjoyed your drink this weekend!
