So I just took Aidan's temp and it is 102.3. I guess that means no school tomorrow. Poor guy, I feel so bad for him.

I lost my emotions when I got home from the appointment. It's a cold, dreary day and the drive there was awful. When I got there the lot was practically full, it took 2 hours for the appointment, it took a long time to find her hb, the Dr finally saw me and measured me at 25 weeks (1 week ahead) then told me that everything was completely normal. When I left everyone was driving like a jerk, I missed my turn and had to take the long way home. DH asked me what I wanted for dinner when I got home and I told him but he said we couldn't go out so I just lost it.

FF 2 hours and he just finished making me exactly what I wanted to go out for. He's so amazing some days. Today has been so overwhelming for no reason at all.

Aww such a sweet hubby! DH doesn't quite seem to understand my emotions this time around, and it has been causing a shit ton of fights. Im sorry you had a  rough day.

So I have a GM vehicle that was part of the massive recall. I had the entire ignition switch and power steering replaced a few weeks ago and now it is still having issues. I do not feel safe driving it anymore. I'd love a new vehicle but we own our cars right now and are working hard to pay off debt. I wish they would just buy my car back since they were spewing lies when they sold it to me. So frustrating.

Well, I think a lot of you ladies are probably enjoying your evenings by now, so I just wanted to say hi! I had some awesome stuff happen today and some terribly annoying. The latter is in its own thread, so I won't rehash it here (except to say that hopefully it also doesn't fall under the "random shit" being posted today? ). 

The awesome though: had an OB appointment and it was 100% uneventful in the best way -- everything measuring normal, sounding normal, etc. And I got a flu shot, which has been weighing on me a bit, so... done!

And finally, here's the amazing email spam I got to start my day -- I haven't laughed so hard in ages!

Just a quick note: I am not in Bermuda this weekend. DH and I were able to get off island, so we'll be weathering Gonzalo from far away. If anyone can spare a thought for the island tonight or tomorrow, that would be awesome.

I thought the drama was in the intro post on J14. At least, that's what I read, and it was DRAMA.

wow, just wow. After reading that I have serious doubts about people. There may be people on our BMB who aren't real and who are just playing an alter-ego. This disturbs me on a very deep level.

Yeah I read the call out on that newb thread too. SO weird. Someone in HDBD tagged her as saying "you always look so different" like weeks ago, and then today had an aha moment that she DID look different. So so weird.

I feel so bad for Aidan. He is just laying around and says his body hurts. He has barley eaten anything. We gave him Tylenol and his fever is down to 101.6. I hate when he feels bad.

My D12 FB group had a catfish. It was disturbing, but we suspect she had a loss at one point and just couldn't let go.

And did anyone else get really annoyed by the person who was just insanely rude (not to the op or her "wife"). And nobody came to her defense at all. I am maybe a little moody today but that bothered me more than anything. I'd certainly stick up for anyone else here even if it was one of the "cooler" girls being outright mean. This is not high school.

It was super high school to me too. Mean girls just want to re-live their high school days when they had power. I felt bad for that girl on that thread. I know it is obviously past issues, but I didn't think she was annoying at all!

So I completely forget who it was that mentioned yesterday that pirates booty is crack.

Anyways I had to go to toys r us today to buy a kid a birthday gift for this saturday. Well I Target is next door so I stopped in to buy DD cheeze its for school and some saline sinus cleaner. I saw pirates booty and grabbed a bag.

Got home opened it. Ate some, my first thought was ehh this is just ok. Then before I knew it I ate half the freaking bag! This is actually really good!!!

Also I feel like a new woman. All week my sinuses have been hurting like crazy causing me to have headaches and my face to hurt. I mentioned to the school nurse this. Since she asked me if I was ok because I looked terrible this morning. She told me to get a saline sinus cleaning kit. So I did. OMG! It was amazing! But now I'm pretty sure without a doubt I have an infection.

Well, ok...so the Ebola thing is getting a little too close to home. Yesterday the news was that a few students about 30 miles north of me were on the flight from Dallas with the Ebola patient. 

Well, today the superintendant of the town in which I live (right outside Austin), called all parents with kids in the school district (where my nieces attend school) to inform them that a family member of 3 students at 3 different schools in town were on the flight....Including a student at my nieces school.

Just saying...Part of me is getting a little uneasy, and I am really not a person who blows shit out of proportion. 

Edit: I originally posted it was 3 students at 3 schools that were in direct contact. Not the case! Don't want to start the rumor train!

@cougarette my maternity leave is unpaid. It's 12 weeks, no pay. I've saved almost all my vacation time and sick time to have enough to sub it in. So I'm using up my nest egg of sick and vacation time. Otherwise, I'd still be allowed to take 12 weeks off, but without pay.

Most people in other countries have a better deal, but a lot of people in the U.S. have it worse. So I'm grateful for what I have.

When we got home from work Dh had salmon out avd proceeded to show me the tail which is a no no since the smell makes me sick. I went upstairs to sleep since food would definitely be a bad thing and he made a meal of all the stuff that makes me feel better when I'm sick. Beets, carrots ( sweet hot pickled carrots) and perogies. He cooked a little piece of the fish with salt and pepper and put the beet juice on it (I can eat anything if there is beets involved) and brought it to bed. First I was all .. Can't eat too sick, then I saw he made me all my don't make me sick foods. I ate every single thing. He can really be sweet sometimes!

Aw yay for DH being sweet! I love beets to! Especially when they're pickled with eggs, omg I can gorge on that.
