Continue to OPK in TWW? (Loss mentioned)

Hello, new friends!

I have a question for you experts. I am on my first cycle post m/c and my body seems to be doing crazy things. (My chart is attached for temping experts! What do you guys use for posting pics?)

I have been tempting and using OPK's...On Day 7, my OPK has a faint line, but def not positive. I had brown spotting and lots of cramping on CDs 14-16. I kept using the OPK's, even though I *thought* I was in the TWW because I wasn't sure. This morning, my temp dropped again, I have a very faint OPK (certainly not positive, I don't believe) and I am having some CM. (BUT, I am a terrible judge at the different types of CM, I admit.)

Do you see any O action, temp wise?  Do I consider faint lines at all when it comes to OPK's? I would love some input :) (Thanks, in advance!)

  • I am not an expert, but I don't see any O action. I would imagine that your body is trying to ramp up but it hasn't happened yet.

  • That is what I am thinking...

Atleast I got laid a lot in the process. <sigh>

I am on a 2 week work trip, so even if I was gearing up to O, I would be out of luck. DH is deployed next month. Argh.

  • I don't see O based on your temps. Keep doing OPKs; the faint lines don't really count for anything. Good luck!

I like your sense of humor. I hope that this cycle works out for you somehow.  :)>-

  • I agree with PP.  Faint lines don't mean anything on OPKs.  Bodies can do wonky things post loss.  My first post loss cycle was anovulatory and the 2 after that I O'd much later than usual.
    I know it is frustrating.

  • Peed on an OPK this evening. I am 95% positive that it is positive. (My only hesitation is that BOTH lines seem faint but they are essentially equal.)

I guess I am out for this month since I doubt my Bding from Sunday would hold out... :( bleh.
  • Agreed that faint lines aren't squat....other than a sign you're starting to gear up to O.

I'm sorry you're out for the month.  I wanted to add, after 6 losses now, I've found that I always O about a week later than normal.  That may not be your normal, but I think it's totally normal for O to be pushed out after a loss (probably even wonkier if it's a later loss).

Good luck and I hope somehow you end up with a miracle....
  • The cycle after my loss FF took away my crosshairs - I was livid! But PPs are right' after a loss our bodies do weird things. I did not O that cycle, and this month, I O'd on CD 14. My norm is CD17.

Keep on keepin' on; I've got my fingers crossed for you (not my legs though - that's counter-productive)
    :P
  • Thanks, ladies. I fully admit that I am a control freak. Wanting to control this process is my effort at dealing with the loss, I realize. I really appreciate you sharing your experience with me.

Northernkhaleesi - ha!  You are right!

Def positive this morning - looking on the bright side: I at least O'd this cycle!
