TTC AGAIN CHECKIN 10/15

This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc. 

A check-in will be posted every week. Please reply to the check-in post if you would like to be added to the group. Each check-in will provide the opportunity for you to provide an update as to where you currently are in your TTC. 

 

Once you get pregnant please post about your first and second beta then move over to the pregnancy check in.

QOTW:  If you had all the money in the world would you choose to have a personal trainer, plastic surgery or some other type of fitness training to get you in the best shape of your life?

Jessylane8- 10/8-11dpo and a BFN. Pretty sure I am out this cycle.

 

MrsAmyDylan-10/8-We are just waiting for our appointment on 10/20. So hanging out now. 

 

Okitty-10/1-SAIF Lurker timidly stepping forward!: DH and I are somewhat trying for #2. DS is only 2 mos old today, and while I'm breastfeeding I realize our chances are low (no AF yet) but we aren't preventing. DS took 5 years and was a surprise during our adoption wait. We hope to be lucky and have an unmedicated BFP as we aren't up for any interventions. If not, we'll revisit our adoption plan when DS is 18 mos (per our agency's rule). 

 

Richzep-10/8-Still in the 2ww. Kinda came to terms that this cycle is a bust though. Hoping for a miracle in the next few months otherwise, FET #1 coming up in January. 

TTC, with treatments

 

Ann679-I had my retrieval yesterday.  I'm completely shocked.  They got 8 eggs and 6 of them fertilized.  That's more than my first 2 cycles combined.  Now I'm hoping for some good growth.  

 

Chiwifey-10/8-Put my 1st estrogen patch on today then ganirelix for 3 days starting tomorrow. Once AF arrives I'll go in for baseline and start stims around the 16th. Heading to CO on the 20th as of now and will be there for a week or so. There's so much to do out there and we have a ton of friends there as well. Hoping that along with our anniversary (22nd) and C's bday (29th), will help keep me out of Crazy Town  I am slowly starting to allow myself to be hopeful. Either way I never have to put myself through IVF again! 

 

Djma81-Hey everyone!! So excited to be back! Having some trouble updating my siggy but currently TTC#2...FET scheduled 10/27!! On Lupron now (done with OCP's) and go in for baseline US tomorrow! DD#1 born 2/12/14 a day after my birthday! The best gift ever!! 8lbs 11oz 20" via section because of breech positioning.

emwaiting – 6/18We are currently off all meds and just seeing what will happen on our own.  Praying for that little miracle to happen.  You know be one of those that can say "it will happen when you quit trying!" ha  I will be 6 wks tomorrow from my last period so that is frustrating that it won't come on it's own.  If it isn't here in another week then they will do a blood test to make sure I'm not prego and then do the meds to start my period.  Kinda hard to have that miracle without my period or ovulating.  We had to do IVF to get our DS so we are thinking we will have to go down that road again so time to save $$ again!  

fullfhope –9/24 first beta was Wednesday and was 68, positive, but fairly low and the nurse kept asking about bleeding and cramping, so of course I spent next 48 hours stressing and googling betas, today's was 229! Things are looking good, I go again on Tuesday. 

 

itsmevkb -8/20- We did the transfer last Monday of our one little frosty and everything went smoothly.  Yesterday I tested and got a positive.  I'm literally shaking typing that out.  I'm scared.  Scared of something going wrong, scared of having a crappy beta on Wednesday, scared of where in the world we're fitting another baby into our house, scared of just everything both good and bad.  

JBDamonm-10/8-I started my Lupron yesterday and will go in for my first monitoring appointment next week when my period shows. I'm an emotional mess. I'm SO cranky today. While I expect it's PMS (I normally would get my period on Sat).....I certainly hope it's not the drugs already messing with me. I also really hope this works because I'm already questioning if I could actually handle having to do it again. 

 

Julie21613-10/8-Hi all.... took last bcp Saturday and started spotting today.  Called nurse and I start my lupron (I'm doing the MDLF protocol) tonight and go in for baseline u/s tomorrow.  If all goes well, please God, I start stims tomorrow night.  Yikes... can't believe its starting again.  I'm actually surprised how calm I am today.  Talk to me when monitoring starts and I"m sure that will change! b

KDR19179-7/16 I haven't been on the bump in awhile because I have been busy with the twins and work, but we are in the process of going back for our single frozen embryo. We don't tell many people IRL when we are going through IVF cycles, so I would love to talk about it somewhere! CD day 1 was July 10, I saw the RE on Monday. I'm taking estradiol 2mg 3x daily. I go back on 7/21 for an ultrasound and blood draw. The embryo transfer is scheduled for 7/28. We only have 1 embryo left and it has about a 65% chance of surviving thaw. If it survives thaw, it has a 27-30% chance of pregnancy. I love swimming, but don't get to do it much. I never thought I would want a pool until we had kids. If we had a pool, I think I would swim every day in the Summer!

 

 

mnj05 – 10/8-I had a lining check today and all is well. I have some blood work tomorrow and if that comes back fine, I'll be on track for FET next Wednesday. 

 

MoFree –10/1- I start Lupron next week in preparation for FET some time in mid-November. We still have not decided whether to transfer both embryos or just one.

Phishgirl29- 10/8-FET transfer was yesterday. I Took today off from work to take it easy. We transferred 1 embryo. I test next Thursday. 

 

Pinkmickey24-9/17 Cycle 3 is underway. Going to sit down and chat with DH about when we should return to the RE. I want to cycle August/September again because a May/June baby if all works out is much nicer on a teacher's schedule, but I would be grateful for a baby at anytime in the year.

 

Racheyt0227-10/8-I am in my 2ww for my FET. Beta is on the 13th. I am testing daily & still negative (4dp6dt) I know it's still ealry, but it makes me nervous as well. Hoping I get a positive by tomorrow or Fri AM the latest. 

Got a + HPT! Beta # 1 = 179.. 

 

Run20K-10/1- My next FET is scheduled for 11/18

 

STL34-10/8-I am about to head out for a blood draw to see where my cycle is.  I should be ovulating soon (I haven't gotten a positive OPK yet, though) and I will start ganirelix one week after ovulation.  My calendar review is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon and we will order meds then.  Ugh!  Not sure where the money is going to come from!

WadzFaith-10/8-I am still waiting for my period, I guess the Lupron can delay the cycle. (I don't remember it doing it last time though). I am getting anxious and want to get to the ER and ET!

I am hoping when I visit him since I will need to fly into Denver I can have my pre-IVF #4 testing done, so hopefully November.

 

 

Bellalou – 10/1 Back from my hiatus. Spike with RE today and made an appt to see him next month. Finances are all in order from them screening me over with my FET and I'll finally be in network, again, for future surgeries that I'll need.

 

Kaf7-10/8-Found out today I can't get my sis done locally so another 10h of driving is in my near future to have it done at the RE. They also can't compound the DHEA locally so that has to get sent on a bus here each month. I didn't have a chance to enquire further about who is sending the tank to pick up our sperm.

I am officially PUPO! We transferred one beautifully hatching embryo this afternoon. Beta is next Friday and I'm wanting to hold off on testing until Wednesday but we'll see.

QOTW: I would love to have a personal trainer because I won't do well on my own. I would also like a nutritionist to follow closely with.

Cycle #5 but who is counting?

QOTW: personal trainer. I luckily have very minimal "damage" from my pregnancies so I just need someone to kick my ass about 5 days a week. I love working out but I rarely do it because DS screams bloody murder in the gym nursery so they come get me after 5-10 min. DD no longer naps so nap time is out. Excuses excuses

CD 26 here. Just waiting for AF so I can book my sis. When I call to do that I will also enquire about the sperm tank. We got the paperwork in the mail to sign for the sperm release. I am waiting on my DHEA to come on the bus. Was supposed to get a phone call about it Tuesday but haven't heard yet.

QOTW: I'd have to say more interest. I could have gone for a swim at 9pm tonight but I am still feeling crummy from my cold and I work a 30h shift starting tomorrow....so I am not sure that even a personal trainer would've talked me into that one. Now that I've typed that though...if I had an indoor pool I'd probably have done a few laps. So I say that plus a house in a neighbourhood that is rollerblade friendly. I loved rollerblading in my 20s.

My betas were rising, but lower than average. Now I've had preg scan and we saw a heartbeat but the gestational sac is measuring behind. I go back to repeat scan next Wednesday. Why can't it be easy? QOTW: personal trainer for sure! I'd love that.

I just started meds in preparation for FET in early-mid November. Hello god awful headaches where I just want to curl up in a dark and quiet room. I don't if others feel this way but cycling with a child is so much more complicated.

I would love a personal trainer to motivate and encourage me.

My baseline u/s was great... lining thin so started stims last Thursday.  I'm doing the MDLF protocol.  Had b/w Tuesday to check my E2 after 5 days of stims.  WTF???  16???  Have to go back tomorrow for an u/s and more b/w.  Feeling pretty beat up right now.  Not holding out much hope that I will make it to retrieval.  Why is it never easy?

QOTW:  Personal Trainer all the way...(with the added bonus of having a personal chef to prepare nutritious meals)!

Got the news yesterday....BFN. What a blow, I really thought this time was it. So now we talk to the financial person, wait for AF, and decide if we're taking the IVF plunge

I'm 14dpo I think, and 9 days past transfer. My chances are really slim. Sucks.

I got my period yesterday and am going for my baseline tomorrow. Not looking forward to the nastiness of that!!!! QOTW - I guess surgery, but only some Botox for my face and then laser hair removal everywhere. Oh and if there was any procedure to lighten brown spots on my face, I would take that too! ETA - after 9 days on Lupron I thought I was handling it ok, feeling physically fine but then I went absolutely bat shit crazy on DH the other night. I am embarrassed by my behavior

We are going to be cycle buddies! My FET is probably going to be November 4th or 11th if everything stays on track. We seem to be sharing a lot of the same Mindsets lately, I too am finding the shots way more miserable this time around, with a LO.

Baseline was great....4mm thin lining. Also had uterine scraping done that day to help get my uterus ready for the embryos! I had it done with my last transfer which end edit being successful so we are following exact same protocal as before. Dropped Lupron to 10 units and began Estrace last week after baseline. Go in next Tuesday for another ultrasound and if all is well transfer will be the next Monday 27th!! QOTW: Personal Trainer would be awesome!

@JBDamonM‌ FX we both have something big to be thankful for on turkey day. The Lupron headaches are just killing me where I just keep telling myself I can get through the day even though DH won't be home until tomorrow night and I invited two friends for Shabbat dinner tonight.

@MoFree‌ - Lupron is the devil it's seriously evil. I went for monitoring today - my transfer is set for November 14th (my dr is not working on the 11th and likes to do his own patients for FETs)......according to my nurse, this would give me an EDD of August 3 - which happens to be my 36th birthday - @chiwifey‌ - how about that sign?!?!? I feeling much better with a date in place, even if it is a month away! Edited to tag Chi!

@chiwifey‌ - you know what is even crazier. As you know I've already had one big sign from my dad with this cycle. Well, my dads bday was one day after my sisters. She came on her due date so she was due one day before his bday. Cart before horse here but if this cycle were to work- could very well end up the same way in my family. Maybe this is just me mourning still, but it feels like yet again my dad is up there rooting for me

Got the go ahead to start stims on Saturday, we did this for nine days last time so we will see what this cycle holds.
I agree it is so much harder this time with a lo! The headaches and insomnia came to a head (no pun intended) on Friday and my wonderful hubby let me get some much needed rest.

I know I am super late to this post.  Last week was pretty sucky.  I started Ganirelix this past Saturday.  I should get AF this week and then go in for a preliminary baseline.  If that goes well, we will do a second baseline October 31 so that I can start stims on November 3 (I think).  6th and final IVF cycle coming up!  I say final and I thought last cycle was likely final.  But, here we are trying again.  I don't foresee that again, though as we are really putting everything into this cycle (and we are now pretty broke).  I hate that TTC with IF is so based on finances (or lack thereof).
