A day late, a dollar short... we had some big storms and power issues yesterday so I was off-line most of the day and could only post on mobile, and this thread is a real brat to update on mobile, so... sorry, not sorry!

I would gladly take over but this is my last check in on this thread! :-) Ill be 27 weeks tm and have my glucose test tm also. I can't wait to see the babies and fx that I pass the test! The shower was really good, the turn out wasnt great (probably because they waited until the last min to send out invites) but many ppl that couldn't make it sent gifts and cards. We didn't get any necessity items and actually nothing from our registry, but we used the gift cards to get a lot of those things. The babies do have lots of really nice clothes! Their closet looks full already! Plus it was fun for DH and I to go get those things ourselves :-) I think its becoming more real to both of us!

QOTD: my favorite trip was a cruise to the Bahamas and the best part was Atlantis seriously if you go to nassau you have to go there! I can't wait to take them to the beach in about a year :-)

23w1d today & I still feel good. Time has all of a sudden started moving so slow... but my first shower is in two weeks & I'm so excited to see everyone. OH! Today is my 3 yr wedding anniversary!!

QOTW: My favorite vacation was to Hawaii for our honeymoon where we scuba dived for the first time. I can't wait to take the boys back there... maybe our 10 yr anniversary. I want them to remember it!

I will be 22 weeks tomorrow!  Had my follow up appt with my OB last week after the A/S, both babies are looking great!  Baby boy weighed 304g and baby girl just a little behind at 283g.  She said once I get to 28 weeks we'll be doing an u/s every 3-4 weeks to check on their growth, make sure they're both growing on pace.  I've been doing ok, sleep has not been going well unfortunately, making for a very tired me, haha.  I had a bad night with serious low back and hip pain, it was kind of awful.  I'm going to a prenatal massage tomorrow, looking forward to that!  

We bought our nursery furniture, yay!  Working on choosing a paint colour and bedding now - we want something neutral and zen like, just a nice calming room for all of us.  We also bought our stroller, yay!  There was a sale on the Baby Jogger City Select with second car seat kit!!  So we bought it, I'm so excited!!

QOTW: We love to travel, it's hard for me to pick my favourite, but I would say our trip through the Greek Islands was pretty incredibly, as was our Honeymoon to Hawaii - Maui and Kauai!

Thank you all for a really great 2nd Tri!  It's been a blast sharing it with you all.  I am just blown away that I'm actually entering 3rd Tri - that's exciting and petrifying at the same time!

All well here, not much to report.  Passed the glucose screening, which made me happy. We took a trip to visit friends over the weekend, and my friend kindly made us a delicious salt-rubbed horseradish roast on Saturday for dinner.  And that seems to have led directly to some serious edema - my feet and legs swelled like crazy!  I spent the nearly 6 hour drive home with my feet propped up on the dash whenever there weren't too many cars around to keep the blood from pooling.  A lot of extra hydration and rest, and things seem back to normal, but I'm not a fan of edema.

I'm also back to my PT - he spent a good 30 minutes trying to un-do whatever I have done to my hip over the last few weeks since I last saw him.  It feels a bit better, but I hope going 2x per week for a few weeks will get me back to full speed.  Just in time for everything to go downhill for the last few weeks of pregnancy ;-)

QOTW: My favorite trip ever was a long weekend DH and I took early on when dating to Costa Rica.  We didn't really have any plans, just a car rental and a hotel for the first few nights, and just drove around and figured it out as we went along.  It was absolutely glorious, and we went repelling down waterfalls and white water rafting and climbing a volcano and collecting seashells and body surfing. And lots and lots of great food, and lots and lots of quality naked time ;-)

The trip I'm most excited to bring Ryan on next year is a trip to Europe.  We're planning on doing a 10 day trip next fall to Spain or Germany or maybe Italy.  I've always wanted to share the place I studied abroad in Spain with DH, and it would be great to make it into our first big family trip.

I'll be 25 weeks on Friday. I'm enjoying the baby kicks immensely! I feel great right now, so I'm soaking it up. Not much else to report this week

QOTW: I've really enjoyed a lot of trips I've done, but the trip to southern France with my Mom was one of the best. We spent one week driving around, staying at beautiful B&B's and seeing amazing places and then the second week we spent on horseback, riding through the Dordogne Valley. The rest of the horseback riding crew cancelled, so it was just the guide and us, and it was perfect!

We love to travel and G has already been so many places. I am really excited about doing a big family trip again to Hawaii with both kiddos. Last year's trip was so much fun.

Hi Ladies -

Thank you @southernyankeegirl for running such an amazing check-ins.  Congratulations to you and all the other ladies moving on to the 3rd tri!  I would offer to do check-ins but I am only 2 1/2 weeks away from 3rd tri myself.

AFM: 25 weeks, 4 days.  Feeling pretty good other than fatigue at the end of the day.  We are finally getting moving on the nursery - we ordered the furniture over the weekend, bought a bassinet for our room, and bought the stroller.  Picked out a bunch of paint colors today, once we get the sample/swatches we will decide and then have the nursery painted.  We are going with a light color and then have some colorful artwork that will go up and will use wall decals.  The crib and dresser are a whitish/grey.  The glider is our pop of color - it is a burnt orange color.  And the rug has hot air balloons on it.  

QOTW: My (and DH's) favorite trip was our vacation to Japan.  We visited Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto and it was all amazing - the food, sights, culture, etc.  What amazing cities.  We can't wait to go back with our LO one day.  In the nearer term, we hope to take our LO to London (hopefully in the first year and a half) and Italy by age three, if not sooner.

@MissEm15 yes I was very grateful for what ppl did get us I mean they spent a lot of money on expensive outfits from baby boutiques but when we left DH and I said ok so we need EVERYTHING it was so overwhelming, but using our gift cards we've put a nice dent in our "need" list :-)

Appointment went well on Friday. Took the 1 hr glucose test and am waiting for results. Doc said I should get em by this Friday. I actually enjoyed the drink too. It really was like flat orange soda. Yum! Weekend was great and we didn't get much done. Dh must've caught my cold so we ended up spending most of the weekend in bed.

QOTW: Best vacation is a tie between our honeymoon in Jamaica and this trip we took to Europe (we went to London, Paris, Venice, and Rome) - it was with my parents, my bro, my sis and dh n I. We had an amazing time on both trips! And we're planning on possibly going to Disney by the end of next year but it depends on whether or not we will start the process of getting our lo a sibling.

26 weeks 1 day! I failed both my one hour and my three hour glucose, so yay for GD. My next appointment is Oct. 22nd. Nothing too exciting right now, which I suppose it good =]

QOTW: We took a road trip to Niagara Falls (US side) a couple of summers ago (we live in WI) and it was so much fun! We stopped in Chicago on the way home also. It was a great trip! I don't know about a road trip with twins, but we'll have to see in a few years!

Hi everyone! Thanks for doing the check-ins @southernyankeegirl!

I don't have much to report either. Just a few more days until 3rd tri for me! This weekend was a bit of a mess - I was in L&D for a few hours for a UTI and then I felt like shit the rest of the weekend - but I feel much better now. I'm going to try to get my Rhogam shot tomorrow and then the GTT is on Monday.

The changing table we wanted was finally back in stock today, so I bought that immediately. We also have a few other orders shipping now and I'm excited to be able to start organizing the nursery!

QOTW: It's hard for me to pick a favorite trip too, but I love hiking so our trip to Patagonia is definitely at top pick. We hiked the W in Torres del Paine and it was more amazing than I imagined. My MIL wants to hike through Scotland next year so if we can get time off that would be an awesome trip. We'll need to get a great baby carrier!

22 weeks tomorrow and trying to sort out my colors for the nursery. I fell in love with this owl fabric that is going to be used for accents (it's really bright) in the room, but that's my inspiration. And I'm doing one wall with color blocks, so it's going to be tricky picking colors since I will need 5 or 6. Way to make my life more complicated! Got my shower invites in the mail today, so I desperately need to work on finishing a registry before I send them out. I think stroller/car seat homework will happen this weekend!
I decided on hypnobirthing because I have seen the wonderful results of it with my patients. I was Intrpduced to it when I was in residency and I was amazed by this woman who was cool as a cucumber watching tv who didn't look at all like she was in labor. When I examined her she was 8cm dilated and delivered with no drama and no meds within the hour. I've had a few patients since then who have done hypnobirthing and they really have been some of the most beautiful and peaceful deliveries I've ever had the honor to be part of. I have witnessed many deliveries, and these have been so lovely that I want to try and have the same experience. I'm open minded and totally get that things can change, but I want to have the tools in the event that I am fortunate enough to have things go the way I hope for :-) Sorry for no paragraphs but mobile bumping isn't cooperating

QOTW: my favorite trip was to Austalia when I was 18. I didn't know anyone (through People to People) but after 2.5 weeks, I made some good friends and had lots of great adventures!

We can't wait to go to Disney! And Atlantis! It looks like so much fun for when the kiddos are big kids

17 weeks today, feeling back to normal but the back pain, holy man it's going to be a long 5 more months. A week til we can see yoda again and a little over a week until we can find out if it's a boy or a girl :-) QOTW: best holiday was was our honeymoon to the Mayan; we've been before but this time we splurged and went to a secrets resort and had the best service ever on a gorgeous beach. Plus it was our honeymoon so it was just a bit more special.

22w2d today. I came off of night shift Wednesday am & have to work at 9:30 today. I've been awake since 1:45 am. I hope I can fall back asleep soon.
Our dresser arrived yesterday! We hit up the pottery barn kids friends and family sale this past weekend & got some oddball items too. We will order the glider sometime this week. Other than that, I'm on the hunt for more decorative pieces now.

QOTW: we loved our honeymoon to San Francisco and Napa Valley. It was laid back, delicious and lots of fun sexy time with all my gear my girls got me for my bachelorette party :x second favorite was Portland & Bar Harbor Maine. It was fun, beautiful and also full of delicious food.

Hello ladies,

Today marks first day in third trimester, 28 weeks woohoo!, so I'm saying goodbye!  Gonna miss you ladies and I know I'll see you soon in next thread  

My first shower is this weekend with my nursing school friends.  We have kept in touch the past 3.5 years and we are having a gathering of about 10 people.  Should be a nice reunion  

The second shower is my work shower which will be November 7th (work does a collection and buys what they think you need off registry) which is awesome.  Since I work with preemie babies and lots of mom, they usually get the mom to be really good useful stuff. 

My third shower is the traditional/family/friends one that will be the big one at a restaurant  and it is November 9th/the gender reveal shower!

Part of doing a gender reveal shower is so we don't get all clothes or all blue or pink.  Hoping to get things off the registry/gender neutral stuff (still have hopes of having more than one kid).  We did an Amazon registry, so not sure if people are fearful of Amazon, so we'll see what happens :P  There is an option to mark gift as bought somewhere else on Amazon, will be interesting to see if people notice the link.  Feel it's risky not doing Toys R US or Buy Buy Baby! :P  But the prices are so much cheaper and I'll appreciate my free two day shipping when getting the stuff we didn't get when I'm huge and there is over a foot of snow outside :P  My sister-in-law announced she was expecting a girl and got all pink clothes (and she hates pink lol) and didn't get much off her registry. 

Other than that about a week left till maternity session and 3D ultrasound!  Super excited  

QOTW: So many, Sandals vacation in Jamaica, Paris, Grand Canyon hike, I love vacations

Oopsie... thought I posted my EDD last time. It is March 11th. I'm 19w1d. My a/s and next appointment are next Thursday, 10/23. We already found out we're team blue! My OB increased my diclegis dosage this week, so hopefully that helps with the dry heaving and nausea. I had started trying to wean off my meds for acid reflux a few months ago and alternate dosages every other day. Yeah, back at the max amount and also using tums every day. We're going to look at new bedroom furniture for DS soon and get him a big boy bed. Right now he's in the toddler bed that was converted from the crib. I guess I've decided attempt VBAC if I go into labor before the date they would schedule the RCS, but I'll talk to my OB more at my next appt. I won't be terribly disappointed if it doesn't work out, but I'd really like to at least try for a hopefully easier recovery time.

QOTW: We love to travel so there are a few that were my favorites - Maui, Barbados and Ireland. Perfect places for relaxing time and touring time. I would love to be able to take DS and this LO to Ireland some day and I guess somewhere in the Caribbean or Hawaii for the beaches.

Nothing to new to report here for me. Still sick but I talked to the most amazing insurance guy today because I'm having trouble with getting my Zofran covered so that makes me feel better that he was so helpful. Hopefully I'll feel better soon, but I have a funny feeling I'm going to be sick for the entire 9 months... oh well.

QOTD: We did Munich, Venice, Florence and Rome two years as our "last yeehaw" before we start TTC, little did we know that we'd have much more time as the two of us. But it was such a great trip and Italy was #1 on my travel bucket list and Germany was my husband's #1, so it was a fun trip I'd love to go to Hawaii and I think it would be fun to lay on the beach all day and relax!

Vday is in 2 days, and that makes me pretty excited. Dolce and I are doing great, no major complaints and it feels unbelievable that before I know it he will be here. 

I'll be starting birth classes soon which also proves as a kick in the pants to both DH and I that we need to get moving. 

We have started clearing out the babys rooms so we can get the carpets in the upstairs deep cleaned. Then we will start the painting. 

QOTW: My favorite trip had to be Vegas. DH took me for my 30th bday. We booked a penthouse suite at the Bellagio, limo service everywhere, pool cabanas... . It was awesome. I cant think of a place at the moment I want to take LO to. But DH and I are dying to get back to Europe.

Hey ladies!  Congrats on those moving to 3rd tri!  I am on that list because my EDD is earlier due to my twins eviction date but I am only 24 weeks and change so still a  bit longer to wait.  Hitting the 24 week milestone is good but really won't get excited until 28 weeks.

Had OB appointment yesterday and everything still going well.  Babies are doing well and this morning I saw a kick from the outside for the first time and I was amazed!  Holy cow the best part of pregnancy by far.  I did my 1 hour glucose testing this week and I am sure I will fail it but my OB said that was pretty typical for twin moms and not to stress too much.  We have our nursery painted and getting the carpets cleaned next week then we wait on the furniture to arrive!  I have my first shower this weekend!

QOTW:  My husband and I honeymooned all over Europe but our time in Paris was magical!  I can't wait to go back one day!

22w today. We've made a lot of progress on the nursery. Scraping the popcorn ceiling is next and it's the last room in our house to do. Yes!! Furniture is being ordered next week.
QOTW: I love our little trips like going to Apple Hill with friends or going to Lake Tahoe for the weekend but our most memorable trip was to London, Paris and Caen for my 30th. It was romantic and fun and we can't wait to go back.

@southernyankeegirl- thanks for running check ins! They've been great, you'll be missed! Also, I work in an industry where unfortunately I can't eat when I'm out and about... so I have a new rule, if I'm going to be away from a food source for >1 hour, I eat something substantial first. It's worked so far!

@Milagros315- we love hiking too, and our first baby-related purchase was a Kelty child carrier like this. We got it off Craigslist for only $70, which was excellent. I can't attest to how well it works yet, though I have tried to carry my 25 lb dog in it. No success

21 weeks over here. Things are blissfully uninteresting with me. I have my monthly midwife appointment today, and I'm excited she will finally have some uterus to measure (last appt at 17 weeks she tried but it was still small I guess?). We're also 2 weeks into Bradley method classes, which have been great, and we met our birth assistant (sort of a doula?) and talked for 2 hours. We clicked instantly! It made me really excited about the future.

QOTW: We got married in New Zealand and it was the best trip ever. We hiked and traveled the South Island for 2 weeks.

@runawaylaurel‌ - I bought a Kelty on Craigslist and only realized when I got home the nylon belts had been cut! Can't quite figure out if they're essential, and if so, if I would be able to see some new ones on myself or if it's useless :-/

Hey! Been a while since I have checked in. 17 weeks and 3 days today and I felt my little girl roll yesterday when I drank some rootbeer. It was so weird! Dd 3/28, Team pink just in case it got missed. Yay for 2nd tri! Been feeling great the past few weeks for change. Glad everyone is doing well!!

Has anyone taken over yet?

I've been completely swamped this week- but if no one minds having the check-in at 6pm on Wednesday Nights I can do it.

Everything is going really well with me. I'm FINALLY going to be off PIO.. which is good because someone hit really close to a nerve last time and I'm feeling it.. I am 18 weeks today. We had a growth scan last week and this baby loves laying perpendicular to my spine for scans.. so we saw mostly just a big round circle- but after some serious pushing we got a pic of a profile. 

QOTW: I think I talk too much already about my Disney trip... I have always wanted to go to belgium and I think that will be my favorite trip of all- And DH kinda let it slide that that's where we are going on our babymoon. I'm sure I'll let everyone know how it was in a few weeks.

@poohniki‌ I had offered to take over, but if you want to, I'm happy to let you I've been trying to think of a consistent time I can do it each week!

@kmc84 & pooniki - Thank you both!  It isn't a ton of work, but it's a big commitment to do it every week.  Maybe you both can alternate posting it on Wednesdays?  That way you have a back-up if either of you are busy one week.

Who wants to post it tomorrow (or Wed)? ;-)
