I'm on antibiotics. How will that impact baby

And/or cloth diapering. Sorry if this is dumb, but is there a higher chance of yeast diaper rash from me being on antibiotics? (Just like I can get a yeasty lady part infection because of the antibiotics). I'm taking acidophilus. He's 90% breastfed. He's also sick with RSV. I've got strep. The 2 of us are a whiny pair right now.

Oh no! Feel better soon! I was on clindomyacin (sp?) last week and it gave both of us an upset stomach. I took a probiotic to help ward off yeast, and so far we've been okay.

Oh I'm so sorry you are both sick.  That sucks.

It shouldn't affect LO.  Acidophilus is a probiotic right?  The biggest worry IMO would be getting yeast on your nips, that would go to LO's mouth.  But if you are on a probiotic hopefully you're okay.  Just be vigilant about watching out for pink, shiny, or itchy nips.

I say probiotics for everyone just in case and I hope you all feel better soon.

At under 3m I wouldn't give LO a probiotic unless previously discussed with a dr.
