Hi, Im very new to this (writing on a message board). But I feel like im going to lose my mind. I have PCOS This is my second IUI, second round of Clomid (150mg), and this time around I took the Ovidrel shot the night before my second IUI. At 6dpIUI I went in for my P4, and thankfully it was 17.3! My doctor still wanted me to use the progesterone suppositories (200 mg vaginal suppository) ever 12 hours.
Over the past 11 days I have had a plethora of twinges and symptoms. All very confusing. But today at 11dpIUI I unfortunately broke down and secretly took a HPT this morning while DH was outside with the dogs. I quickly tucked it away and waited 10 minutes before looking at the results. BFN . In 2 days I am scheduled to have my hCG blood work. Is it really possible that I wouldnt even have a faint positive on the HPT? It was very clear that it was BFN. Did I test too early? It is possible that I could actually be pregnant? I should be due for AF around the 19th. Ive been cramping on and off since the night I took the Ovidrel injection.
If there is anyone out there on or around the same stage in their journey, Id really like someone to exchange notes with

11dpiui is just too early.

Sorry, but it sounds like you're looking too much into your symptoms. They are probably more easily attributed to the progesterone.

2 days early is too early? I have an appointment for a pregnancy test on Friday the 17th. And to be clear, even though I have had many symptoms over the past 12 days, not once have I given them a second thought that they were an indication of anything positive or negative till today because it feels like period cramps.

I'm sorry you didn't get the positive HPT you were hoping for, but I'm trying to be realistic and somewhat nice in answering your questions (the "can I be pregnant" questions are a big no-no around here). Your questions were: 1) Is it possible to not have a faint positive line? Yes, either due to being only 11 days past IUI or a negative result. 2) Did you test too early? I personally think so, but there are some who get a faint positive this early. 3) Are you pregnant? A negative test means not pregnant at this time. 

Please also note that you are pumping your body full of extra hormones. Sounds like this was your first cycle doing the trigger shot and you've been having unusual symptoms following that. Your body isn't used to it, so you're going to feel different things. Read the post on the top of the board that says "READ BEFORE POSTING", lurk a little to get a feel for the board, educate yourself and do a proper intro post.

I try and ignore all symptoms because they are most likely progesterone.  It's really hard not to.  I also don't test till 13-14 days past IUI just for my own sanity.  I know it's really tough to do!

11dpiui is too early for an accurate result. Could you get a BFP that early? Yes. Could you get a BFN that early and still be pregnant? Yes. You could also get a BFN and not be pregnant.

With HCG, 2 days can make all the difference. If your levels double with a healthy pregnancy, 2 days is a lot.

I have had 3 IUIs, 2 with femara, one with clomid, all with ovidrel trigger. These drugs will mess with your head to the point of insanity. On two of my iuis, I swore I was pregnant, only to get a BFN. I'm not saying this to be a downer, only to be living proof that you must wait for the beta. Best wishes to you. I genuinely hope it was just too soon for a HPT

11 DPO is too early. What is with pp asking this question lately? I Swear there's one everyday. Sorry but we can't tell you if you're pregnant.

Hi Jess. I am also new to these boards and currently in 2WW hell for my beta from my first IUI treatment (I also have my beta on Friday) . FX it was just too early to test. I have been trying for the past 2 days to convince myself that I should take a HPT, but at the end of the day, I figure I probably won't believe the results until I actually get the test back from my RE anyway.

(I have done a little lurking and trying to understand how these boards work, but a little heads up from what I have learned, some people do not like the term baby dust. Just an FYI)

I'm going to try to be as kind as possible here, even though you're essentially asking if you could be pregnant and that's a big faux pas here.

1. Do not use the term baby dust. It is insensitive to mothers who have had to cremate their children.

2. 11DPO is only accurate about half the time. By Friday, you will be 13DPO and taking a beta test, which is much more accurate as it is more sensitive to hCG. I believe the beta detects as little as <.05mIU/ml, whereas HPT is usually around 20mIU/ml. The test today could be wrong. The test on Friday will not.

3. Anecdotes have no bearing on you, so even if someone on here had the same experience, it wouldn't mean you would have the same outcome. Also, this is a trouble trying to conceive board. Your question may have been better for a board of women that are already pregnant, or not at all since these types of posts don't go over well.

Good luck and all, but if you get your BFP, please don't update. We don't know you and it would be rude. If you get a BFN, read the newbie blog, lurk, then post an intro and start giving support to others. Once you do that, you will find others will be just as willing to give support to you.

It is definitely too early. I am also 11dpiui today, and I have been testing every day to  test out the trigger.  So I tested today, but expected the BFN.  Realistically, you are probably only 9 or 10 dpo (depending on when/if you triggered) and that is just too early.  It's called the 2 week wait for a reason : )
