Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Help! My 15 month old keeps waking up at night.

She had a bad cold and ear infection over Christmas but we went to the dr. a few days ago and all is fine now. She has been waking up around 1130 at night for about 3 weeks now. We thought it was because she was sick or teething but I don't think so at this point. She starts crying and only wants me to hold her standing up. She will stay awake for over an hour and at that point my DH and I are so frustrated that we just end up giving her a bottle to make her tired again. What in the world could it be? How can I get her to sleep through the night again?

  • i'd try the toddler board... might be more help for a child over 12 months of age since sleep patterns and understanding is a little different :)

  • I am having the same problem with DD who is almost 14 months.  It is after an ear infection that dragged on two weeks.  I need an answer also, so I hope someone answers this post!  We are all so tired.
  • Is she inconsolable?  DD was waking up within 2 hours of going to sleep and it was almost impossible to calm her down.  The pedi said she was having night terrors and it took us 2 weeks to get her back to her normal sleep pattern.

Is it possible that she might be teething?
