First baby due in December and we're trying to figure out what Car Seat to get. I think we have settled on an UppaBaby Stoller base. I have heard that the UppaBaby Mesa Car Seat is really heavy. Any other great car seats out there?
I used my uppababy with a graco snugride 35 (classic connect) I barely ever used the car seat adapter. I used it when we flew internationally, but always used the bassinet every other time.

Had the B Safe. If I had to do it over again I'd go with the Keyfit. That being said there is nothing wrong with the B Safe I just have a tall baby who outgrew it at 8.5 months.
I have a KeyFit 30. Love it. Honestly though- go to Buy Buy Baby or Babies R Us and ask a sales rep to test them in your car. I quickly learned the Britax carseat was too overwhelming for my small backseat.
@veronicamars747 just FYI the keyfit and b-safe take up an identical amount of room front to back. (Unless they showed you a chaperone, which has been discontinued.....)
Also, their sales associated are absolutely not trained in carseat use or safety. They are notorious for giving out information that can prove fatal in an accident.

We got the Maxi Cosi Mico to use with our Uppababy Vista. In 2013, it was the lightest seat on the market. It has a lower height and weight limit than most seat as well. Our son was in it for 6 months, but I had already injured my back getting him and out of the car in the seat.
I agree with the PP that said to not trust BBB or BRU associates. They may have some knoiwledge, but more times than not, I hear them recommending unsafe aftermarket products or giving out false information about car seats.
I don't have any actual experience since this is our first baby, but I'm pretty set on the Cybex Aton Cloud Q if it comes out in time. It's not available yet. Otherwise the Aton Q is at the top of my list.
I am curious as to why you went with this one since it has such a hefty price tag. What do you like about it?
